I watched Mr Stink too last night and had a little sniff at the end - glad it wasn't just me! Then I watched the Snowman and was so sad when he melted at the end, even though I've seen it many times and knew the ending, still had a little tear creeping down my cheek! Willow Posted December 24, 2012 Share Posted December 24, 2012 Very late on christmas eve for children I bought the snowman on dvd and just made my teens, FIL and OH sit and watch it with me, (disappointed the treble wasn't Aled Jones on the dvd though). I said to Hubby I really couldn't watch it, and turned it off. It was a recording I was watching, so I feel a brave moment coming on, I might try watching it again .. Gertie Posted December 30, 2012 Share Posted December 30, 2012 I just saw them both. Cried all the way through the snowman and snow dog (feeling emotional today!), and saw the making. Ethel & Ernie looks like it will be a heart wrenching true story. Raymond came across as quite a sad man. I was amazed by how much work, and so many beautiful drawings went into the animation. Perhaps because I no longer have any littlies to watch it with........The Snowman was always a little bit of magic to share with grandchildren when they were little. The music was disappointing though. Especially compared to the original. DD used to play me music from the original on the piano when she lived at home, and it always brought a tear to my eye.
