Name that tune!

Recommended Posts

A song came on the radio earlier which I NEED to add to my itunes collection, but I lost signal before I could find out who it was by.

So, at the very beginning, before the actual music starts, there is a speaking bit, in American but in a sort of Pathe 1950's style.

Its a guy & a teen boy, the boy says something like 'we just want to be free & we just want to get wasted, & be free to do what we want to do'

Can anyone name that tune for me?

Ok you tune experts....The children and I heard a song when out for dinner that started

something like

I am going to get dressed up as a hamster and go out and dance......I am guessing we got the lyrics wrong but any ideas....

To give you an idea at how bad we are at lyrics

My children love the Mexican ducky song and have a great mexican ducky dance.....the real lyrics are from 'Get Lucky'

Good luck

Whilst you all have your thinking caps on......we have been trying to put a name to what we call 'the whistling tune'! It is often played as background music on TV and sounds a bit French café - its purely whistling with no singing/instrumentation!

We love it and would love to download it but can't till we know the title :wall: have tried Googling but can't seem to find it!

If its the one used in the Homebase ad it's Young Folks by Peter, Bjorn and John.

As for dancing and hamsters, I have no clue, sorry

Thanks but its not that one! Its quite slow and sounds very French - not much to go on - I wish I could whistle it for you (you are lucky I can't!)

The only thing that I can think of just now where it was used was on Edwardian Farm when Peter tried to catch Alex's cockerel so that they could measure him for the weather vane!!!!:lol:

When I hear need-to-know music, I note down the radio station & the time. They usually list the music played that day on their websites under each show. If I'm near my phone, then I just hit 'Shazam' which is an app for your phone that identifies music playing.
