PixieDust
Can I feed the flubenvet pellets like a porridge? i.e. mashed in a little water? With them on lock down for worming I don't want any undesired behaviours occurring because they have no treats or FR access. Any other tips greatly appreciated. Beantree
Don't see why not Pixiedust, so long as they eat it all within a few hours of mixing because wet mash goes off very quickly. Sour crop is always a danger so when ours get wet mash the dishes are only left down two hours and then in the rare case of some being left it is binned. We mix our Flubenvet with Olive oil and that has no impact on the effectiveness, so water shouldn't affect it either. After all they drink water with the pellets anyway. Chickabee
I must have really greedy chickens. They all get locked in their runs once every 3 months and just get fed worming pellets, but they just eat it all up. Guess I'm just lucky

PixieDust
Seems they are eating through it fine. I just worried with all the flock issues at the moment. Had to turf Winnie out of the nest box again. Then she and Pixie were on different perches. They really are not coping well without the bully. However, their feathers are growing back nicely! chickencam
We used these pellets to worm ours recently and they too gobbled them up
gavclojak
Always make mine into porridge, use hot water. they hoover it up, but if I just put the pellett in the run they refuse to eat them. daft chickens. I spoke to the supplier about a year ago regarding using hot water and was advised to use tepid water as the active ingredient is heat sensitive ( I'm not a chemist so I don't now how this works) and to be honest they don't seem to care how there porridge is served, warm or cold they gobble it up:))
Margaret
Oh, thanks for that, will do that in future.
