Luvachicken
The postman brought me my new ear muffs today - actually my first ever pair - and they are absolutely brilliant at keeping your ears warm whilst cleaning out the chickens It was freezing when I gave the chickens a bit of a Spring clean this afternoon but I was as warm as toast all over with ear muffs on. I didn't think they would do much for keeping me warm but I really wish I had got them years ago when I first got chickens.
Valkyrie
Something I can't do - quite envy you! Any pressure on my ears makes them ache - even earplugs (very annoying with snoring hubby)! Just have to make sure my hair covers my ears! DD loves her ear muffs. Continue to enjoy - although I hope the weather gets a little warmer!!! Luvachicken
That's a shame Valkyrie. They are very soft, would it still cause a problem for you ?
Cat tails
I have a pair that sits in my neck. Very comfortable as there is very little pressure as only cloth covers the ears and the rest rests on your head instead of your ears. Alis girls
I thought these were for your hens - we've had jackets why not ear muffs?

redsunset
Bought a Wooley hat for being outside mucking out the coops....tends to 'ping off' my head every so often, as bent forward cleaning, and as my gloves are sometimes covered in not so nice stuff it's in the wash every week......I expect it to be shrunk enough for a chook within 4-5 weeks at this rate! Ear muffs are for you English girls with not so much wind and heavy rain to contend with!!

You should knit some ear muff bits onto your hat with extra long dangly bits so you can tie them up under your chin Nice to be referred to as a girl at my age
