rachel19
Well I finally finished the commission painting I was asked to do and I think it turned out quite well It was collected last weekend along with two others so I will have to start thinking about what to do next as Ihave none left lol! I also sold 3 sketches yesterday to someone in the pub which was an unexpected surprise! Finally things seem to be getting better although now i've said that i'll probably never sell anything else ever again!
Redwing
Rachel your pics are amazing, I showed the beans one to my husband who said (and I quote) 'Thats a PAINTING? wow some people are so fantasically talented aren't they' Our regular pub has a small room where it sells paintings by one of the bar people who spends term time at art school, we have bought six of them, perhaps someone local would display yours for you? Seagazer
Wow Rachel - I have just seen this thread for the first time. Your paintings are brilliant - my hubby actually thought they were photos as well. Keep going - you have real talent.
ubereglu
They're really good and well done...I've looked into people displaying some of my canvas' of hens and everytime I either get a no or they don't even bother to reply.
rachel19
Here's a picture of the new one. Sadly ubereglu people don't seem to be willing to help most of the time - I can't find somewhere to display mine either. Just keep trying and im sure you'll get a breakthrough

stoice
Lovely work Rachel Have you tried looking at Artist & Illustrator magazine and website? It has a list of galleries, societies and suppliers that may help. They also have an online gallery that can exhibit your work. I belong to my local art club and they hold exhibitions annually. I also submit paintings to neighbouring villages' art exhibitions. They usually only let you submit up to 4 paintings and some are a bit 'local' but you never know who'll swing by. I also tell the club who's running the exhibition that I'm open to commissions too. Feels great when you sell a painting, even better when you get a commission. Here are some of painting I have sold, as you can see I love animals and birds - I have yet to do any chook pics yet! http://www.slide.com/r/0seWPtAq0D9GPw7Wjb6lpcLyTfce1S6b?cy=ms
