The Dogmother
It really is great fun - I'm scared of heights, but was all right so long as I looked out rather than down. You have to get a move on to get onto your pod as it is continuously moving and doesn't stop for you to get on. Rosie was smaller then, so Phil carried her on so she didn't slip. Mrs Frugal
(I've been 'encouraging' Kate to 'encourage' her LSH - OK - I'm a bully ) Poor boy will be white haired by the time we've finished with him!! I've been "encouraging" him since he got home from work.... ...funny but he calls it nagging ! Might get my way though! He's looking more positive!! Lesley
Oh good! (We don't nag do we Kate? ) I love the London Eye - I've been on it three times already. They can slow the pod down if you have any disability, as long as they know.

Cate in NZ
Will do Mel, & everyone who's put messages on here. I'm a tiny bit overwhelmed with the response at the minute- it's going to fantastic to get the opportunity to met so many of you, but I'm ever so slightly overloaded right now- will do PM's this evening when I get the chance. And when I've had more info through from Kew, it seems that the info I was given last week, and which is still on the web-site is ever so slightly wrong, and prices are going up on Jan 1st, but they're being ever so slightly vague about it . So watch this space Edited November 29, 2005 by Guest

Cate in NZ
Oh, no Shona, don't say that... and of course you don't smell.... ummm... well now you come to mention it... didn't like to say... faint whiff of chicken poo Sorry, that really was a joke- please don't take offense, couldn't resist I picked London, because quite simply, it's easy for me, and I thought it was easy for people to travel to, and also because there are a lot of Eglu-owners down here in the South East. Guest
I think it's a great idea - apart from little n, I haven't met anyone from the forum, and you're right, there seems to be a fair few of us up here now. Perhaps we should arrange a meeting the same day that the rest of them are meeting waaaay down south!
