ali-s
At the end of July/ beginning of August I ordered 3 items from the recycle now site www.recyclenow.com/compost Two of the items... a compost bin and a free caddy to go with it have not yet arrived The third item, two bokashi bins took a week to arrive. I was wondering if anyone else has had any delivery pronblems with recycle now? I have sent them a email and am awaiting a reply. Of course typically I can't find the reference number or the exact order date BTW the compost bin I ordered wasn't the one you had to wait 60 days for delivery. I ordered a different one because I didn't want to wait 2 months for it
Looney
I ordered some stuff from recycle now and some of it arrived and some of it still hasn't - and this was months ago I don't appear to have been charged for any of it yet so have stopped chasing them up about the missing bits of the order. ali-s
I'll have to dig out my bank statements and have a look, I can't remember if the money was taken out of my account I am getting seriously forgetful
Olly
I have a feeling they don't draw the money until they send it (this is Blackwall, isn't it - just a different trading name). Last year I ordered a water-butt, and it never arrived; there was no warning that it would be delayed and I had some very frustrating phone-calls to them. Eventually I cancelled it, as I'd decided to move house meanwhile - but I do recall getting very cross with them and saying 'where's my money' and feeling a real idiot when I discovered they hadn't actually taken it! I ordered two composters this year - they did (eventually) deliver, again after quite a delay, and managed to mess up the order and draw the money twice. They are cheap, but their customer service is awful.

lisa33
It took nearly a month for them to deliver my compost bin earlier this year. But they did say allow 28 days for delivery.
Christian
Next door ordered a compost bin from tehm and it took 7 months! We aordered and it arrived in 2 weeks. Next door weren't happy! I ordered 2 more a few weeks ago and they arrived in a couple of weeks. I think they are really disorganised, and its the luck of the draw as to whether you get them or not! Did you send the free bins back I am needing a new supply of the Bokashi bran but I am reluctant to order through this site until I sort out the compost bin problem. Charlottechicken
I am needing a new supply of the Bokashi bran but I am reluctant to order through this site until I sort out the compost bin problem. I buy bokashi from Wiggly Wigglers in a 5 kilo bag. It is £25 but will last for ages!
chickencam
We ordered a composter in March knowing we were going to have more chicken poo than our existing composter could cope with! It finally arrived in July after numerous chasing phone calls you have to call not email.
Olly
I have two composters and between grass-cuttings and chicken poo, they are both full. I am going to go and buy another one at a DIY store, I can't face going through the RecycleNow experience again. It's a shame, because the idea of encouraging everyone to compost and save water is a good one, but the service is enough to put you off the whole idea! I wonder if the local authorities that (I assume) subsidise the scheme, know how bad it is?
ali-s
My compost bin is full. Yesterday I spent the day clearing the borders of the summer plants, clearing out the greenhouse of tomato, cucumber, auberguine and pepper plants, sweeping up the leaves from our enormous sycamore tree, pulling up the runner bean plants and cutting the grass. All this "waste" had to be put into the brown wheelie bin for the council to compost, I would have liked to compost it myself Lidl and Aldi had an offer on compost bins a few weeks ago, I may go and see if they have any left. Yes it is a shame about the service from recylce Now Will phone them tomorrow and probably cancel my order
Milly
I have been thinking about ordering from recycle-now, but every time I put in my post code it says I am in Worcestershire. (I'm not). Which puts me off a bit. And reading all of these postings makes me think maybe this would only be the start of my problems if I placed an order! But I do need an extra compost bin now I have started composting eglu cleanings. Hmmmm. Milly
Louise
i ordered a new bin back in the summer It arrived just within the 4 week delivery window delivered by DHL on a Sunday Chookiehen got hers that day too we must have been on the same delivery vehicle Both the bin and the free caddy - I ordered a bigger than standard one as it said the smaller ones were so popular that there may be a delay on delivery which I didn't want mine was the £25 one
The Dogmother
They are absolute pants... I ordered a compost bin with free cadddy in May and when I called up about 3 weeks ago, the stroppy mare on the end of the phone said that she had no idea when it was going to arrive and gave me the number of the courier to call and find out. I ran back, spoke to her supervisor and complained; she told me that there was a delay due to heavy demand and that it would arrive soon - it turned up last week; they just left it on the doorstep, lucky it wasn't nicked really!!!! chickencam
To be fair to the guy I spoke to several times at recycle now he was very polite and as helpful as he could be ,but his hands were tied because all he could do was pass on my messages. Tina C
I ordered a compost bin for my mum - no problems with the delivery but 2 months on they started hassling her for payment when I had 'paid' online when I ordered. However, the card had expired by the time they thought about taking the payment - but its just hassle isn't it?
Krysia
Oh dear I was going to order from them. I think I will pay more and order elsewhere!
ali-s
I have been in touch by phone to recycle Now. Their records show that the compost bin and caddy have been delivered The girl I spoke to is going to get in touch with the courier (Nightfreight I wonder ) and ask them to deliver again which could take up to 10 days. The caddy is sent via the royal Mail so Recycle Now are going to send me another one. I find it very strange that both the bin and caddy are showing as being delivered by two different companies and I have received neither I have even been out and searched our garage and shed in the hope that they are tucked away somewhere Still haven't checked my bank statements yet, I am assuming the money has been taken out as the bin has been "delivered". I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and wait 10 days. I will not be buying anything from this company again

chickencam
I had several calls from DHL saying that my compost bin would be delivered on a particular day but is wasn't in the end it came in a dodgy looking white van with a scary driver
ali-s
My compost bin has arrived at last. It had been left in our shed and I fell over it in the dark just now Now I need to find somewhere in the garden to put it.
ali-s
Forgot to post that the free compost caddy was also delivered on the same day as the compost bin. Anyway today I had another compost caddy turn up It is bigger than the first and a nice shade of blue Now do I send it back
theherd123
No, i dont think so after all you are an avid recycler of waste and could actually use 2. Also if you have waited ages they probably sent it as compensation
