Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I was checking earlier in the eglu egg port- despite having basically given up hope that there would be any eggs till spring...

There was a perfectly formed pale pink egg- though slightly dirty

Next was me and mum dancing round doing the egg dance- me holding the chicken who laid the egg- shes been spending a long time in the eglu and had been crouching when approached.

 

My little rosemarys finally laid a egg

And what a good size - my Campine is not a bantam but is slightly smaller than a standard and the biggest she's ever laid is 51g!
