Snowy
That's a great idea - some of them really love to perch don't they? My older girls don't seem to like perching, but I often catch the younger ones (especially Little Bo) sat preening on a high perch out of the way! I love to watch them doing real chickeny things! superjules
Love the perches. Mine love sitting up on top of the dog's kennel. Although they're not very graceful getting down, bless them!
susanbb
Looks really good. Well done you. Daisy seems to be enjoying it up there. Susan
arowland17
That's a good idea, we did the same with a large branch but even when we wedged it they still manages to roll it round when they jumped onto it so we thought it was a bit dangerous for them and took it out, I might see if I can get a couple of planks like you have for them, yours look like they love perching up there
BeckyBoo
That's a great idea, just off down OH's shed now to see what bits of wood he's got squirrelled away! Mrs Bertie
Carol U
What a brilliant idea! I shall try that, as we have loads of similar bits of wood. Well done!
Tina C
Thank you for posting that - after seeing the pics I put a couple of perches in for our new bantams and they love them. We didn't think the little ones would be able to get up there at first but within an hour there four out of the five new girls up there in a line, including the three smaller ones, looking very cosy. Our big girls free-range most of the time but so I have never given them perches - I thought perches might get in the way in the standard eglu run. AJuff
Oooh I think I'll have a look and see what's in the garage. It may keep our girls entertained whilst we're out at work! Super idea, thank you.

Richard
they look great - but I reckon my girls would break them! Mine are into climbing at the moment and are going higher and higher up the tree. They are getting up to about 5 foot off the ground at the moment, and working their way up.
