Charlottechicken
Yes! Snow here too! All over the cars in the street, still coming down fast. I am expecting to see some children in large fur coats gathered under the street lamp on the corner (across the road from me) waiting for Mr Tumnus, it is so wintery Edited to add: Just heard the weather forecast, they say it will be mild tomorrow morning, no frost, so the snow is not staying. Couperman
I like snow unless I have to drive in it and even then I would prefer a good coating rather than a slight dusting. It is very rare to get proper laying snow here, we are a bit too close to the sea. I do remember the sea freezing once when i was a nipper. It is snowing on my computer as I type! A nice linux addition called Beryl, I love Linux. Kev.

Louise
I LOVE snow. Hoping for some this winter! I remember when I was a student in Edinburgh, a couple of hundred years ago, leaving on a bus for Manchest to get home for Xmas. The snow was really deep - feet deep - in Princes Street and all around the place. The bus journey took 11 hours to get to Manchester 'cos it stopped at all sorts of godforsaken car parks down in the Borders where it was snowing and really really really cold. When we got to Manchester there wasn't a sight of snow, it was warm, and people were in their shirt sleeves! Oy Some of us quite like living in the borders But boy can it snow Had a little bit so far but 7 years ago it was horrendous I was snowed in for two days where I lived then where I am now they were snowed in for two weeks
Egluntyne
Louise...what on earth were you doing out of bed at 4.43am? Snow all gone here this am, despite having been 2cms inch deep last night and falling solidly for about 3 hours. Wet and miserable now. Helen&Lee
This morning our garden looked like a winter wonderland, all the branches bent over heavy with snow... The chooks were not impressed on we didn't manage to get all of the roof on before the rain yesterday morning. So the bit outside the cube door is roofless - Mabel the gingernut shot out as soon as I opened the door, walked down the ladder and stopped abruptly on the bottom rung..bawked a bit, looking for somewhere to go that wasn't white and then just flew into the greenhouse! Even the Brahmas were flying the 6ft distance - we were late for work watching them work out what to do - Fabulous Helen
