snow!

Recommended Posts

I LOVE snow. Hoping for some this winter!

I remember when I was a student in Edinburgh, a couple of hundred years ago, leaving on a bus for Manchest to get home for Xmas. The snow was really deep - feet deep - in Princes Street and all around the place. The bus journey took 11 hours to get to Manchester 'cos it stopped at all sorts of godforsaken car parks down in the Borders where it was snowing and really really really cold.

When we got to Manchester there wasn't a sight of snow, it was warm, and people were in their shirt sleeves!

It can be snowing where I live, but in Princes Street, 4 miles away, there'll not be a flake to be seen. (You feel a right wally in your woolly hat and wellies  .)
