Guest
My eldest son, and his class, have just won the Radio Borders Christmas Carol competition!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was all very tense, and after all nine schools in the final had sung, it went to a 'sing-off' between them and Earlston Primary, but Chirnsides superior sing ability, and song writing efforts shone through, AND WE WON!!!! Will pop a link in for the winning song, once it's up on the Radio Borders website!

Guest
Just to top off the success of the weekend, the school was featured on our local ITV news programme on Monday night, up against another school to win a grant of £75,000 from the Peoples Millions (I believe that all ITV local news programmes are doing this this week, with local projects all vying for a share of the cash), and WE WON!!!!!!!!! We've won the grant to build a flood-lit, all weather pitch on part of the school playing fields, which is absolutely fantastic news, given that they've been struggling to raise the money for 17 years! If anyone is in the Borders TV region, and they watched the local news last night, and you saw us win, you'll have seen all three of my children (not backwards at coming forwards, my lot! ), with their grubby mitts on the giant cheque at the end!
