Guest
Dear Chicken Out Supporter, Thank you for signing up to my Chicken Out! campaign, and asking to be updated on its progress. I thought you'd like to know that I'm going to be a guest on Jonathan Ross' TV show on Friday (Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, BBC1 at 10.40pm, 30th November) - and I'll be asking him, his audience and friends to sign up to the campaign. I'd like you to ask your friends to support the campaign too - and give it a real push. We're doing really well on numbers now, and have added a new set of features to www.chickenout.tv These include: A ‘pledgeometer’, which counts each time a new supporter signs up to the campaign A new forum, which you can use to discuss the issues surrounding this campaign ‘Free Range Review’ - a facility which helps you search for your nearest suppliers of free range produce. You can even add your local suppliers to the site, and review those you’ve visited. Don't forget there’s a form on the Chicken Out! website which allows you to let up to five friends at once know about the campaign: to go straight there, click here. Many thanks again for your support, www.chickenout.tv
Snowy
Spooky, I've just read that in my email in box! Will be looking out for Hugh on Wossie tomorrow
The Dogmother
I'll ask Phil to record it - I can't bear Wossie, that way, I need only watch the bit with Hugh in it.
Cinnamon
I'll be watching - 2 of my faves on one show

Guest
Me too! Absolutely can't stand the disgusting J Ross - but his shows are usually good, I have to admit. They'd be unmissable if he wasn't in them!
Egluntyne
Vile isn't he. Will Sky+ it and fast forward the bits I don't want to watch.
susanbb
Didn't see him on Jonathon Ross. Was he good . Did he manage to gethis point across Was JR his us ual abnoxious self
Guest
well, he held his own against a little barracking from JR who showed a clip from one of HFW's TV shows from years ago where he cooked live baby eels and he also teased him about eating baby rooks but I think Hugh made his point very well and to get any sort of exposure for his campaign on a show like that has got to be good news. He didn't mention his upcoming programme about broilers in January though.
ktdot
He didn't mention his upcoming programme about broilers in January though. He didn't have much of a chance. As soon as he got going JR made a quip and started talking about something else! I wanted to slap him!

Guest
oh come on guys, it's a light entertainment show, people tune in to see JR take the mick. I think Hugh did a good job, under the circumstances and he probably reached an audience that possibly hadn't thought about animal welfare previously. The wider the audience Hugh reaches the better and he found time to promote his fishing book
Egluntyne
people tune in to see JR take the mick. I didn't. I tuned in briefly to hear what HFW had to say. I was offended at JW's remarks about Boyzone only being invited so that hey could tarmac his drive. I expect that there will be complaints about that unacceptable piece of cultural stereotyping. I turned off as soon as HFW had finished.
Cinnamon
I agree Dan I haven't seen last nights show yet,but Sky+'d it,so I can catch it later. Jonathan Ross is an absolute star,& I totally adore everything he does OK,he might be a bit near the knuckle sometimes, but that is what makes him so watchable
Egluntyne
I was offended at JW's remarks about Boyzone only being invited so that hey could tarmac his drive.I expect that there will be complaints about that unacceptable piece of cultural stereotyping. I thought that was funny. Made me laugh and the Boyzone lads were laughing so they obviously weren't bothered. I was offended by it. I am entitled to express my opinion. If they had responded with anything but good grace it would have been difficult. I noticed that they weren't so amused at the remarks about Ronan doing it for charity....the charity being the rest of the Boyzone band's flagging careers. Egluntyne
Keith has done alright for himself. Appearing in Correr...If its good enough for Sir Ian....... Can someone explain the Mighty Boosh to me? I find them absolutely cringeworthy and loathsome....I sat through 0.5 nanoseconds of one of their BBC3 efforts. I found the ironing pile very tempting all of a sudden. I haven't found anybody who likes them.
Egluntyne
Keith has done alright for himself. Appearing in Correr...If its good enough for Sir Ian....... Was he the one who was on Children in Need (has an autistic son)? He seems like a really nice bloke - I was very impressed with him on that. yep....he was. Can someone explain the Mighty Boosh to me? I have only seen half of one episode but it made me laugh ever such a lot - it reminded me a lot of the Young Ones (surreal, puppets, music)... I have since read that they wanted to make a latter day Goodies (which along with the Young Ones is a big fave of mine). I would like to see some more Boosh to be sure but I think I like it! It must be me then. They make me squirm.
Ain't Nobody Here
My OH has just started watching The Mighty Boosh and likes it. I've been watching it with one eye - the other eye on the forum! Bit surreal for me but I like Noel Fielding - he seems refreshingly natural (and a bit barmy!) I liked him on Buzzcocks. I like Jon Ross on the radio but find him cringemaking on the telly. I hate the way he laughs at his own jokes before anyone else does.
Snowy
I forgot about Hugh on Wossie and mised it I watched the Mighty Boosh as a friend at work thinks he's wonderful, so I had to see what she was on about. I didn't get it at all, but Noel Fielding is bizarrely watchable!
Joojoo
Noel Fielding is very good mates with Russell Brand, which given their combined dress sense and hair explains quite a lot I'm really not sure what I think of him though. I adore Russell, but the Mighty Boosh trailers on Jonathan Ross made Noel seem a bit too odd for my liking.
Guest
I just don't get the mighty boosh!!?!??? DH thinks they're hilarious but he likes his comedy quite dark. He loves 'League of Gentlemen' for example, I can't mention the words 'creme brulee' without him saying 'voodoo lady'!!! I hated leage of gentlemen to begin with but then I really got into it. Sometimes you have to watch a few episodes of something to start to appreciate the humour. I might get into the boosh eventually- who knows, maybe they are way ahead of their time and it's us who need to catch up?
Charlottechicken
Noel Fielding is very good mates with Russell Brand, which given their combined dress sense and hair explains quite a lot It does! I'm really not sure what I think of him though. I adore Russell, but the Mighty Boosh trailers on Jonathan Ross made Noel seem a bit too odd for my liking. They both appear to have something almost Rasputin-like about them. I like Russell Brand, to a point, but just don't get what I have seen of The Mighty Boosh

Guest
I like Jonothan Ross - never heard of the mighty boosh though and have only seen the intro and about half of HFW so far. I just thought who are that bunch of wierdos! I record it every week and then watch JR's bits and any guest that interest me. I thought this weeks line up was poor - other than HFW and Bruce Forsythe I did't really know anythign about the others. Didn't Boyzone do lots of covers once? Who knew they'd broken up - not me, was it recent?
