Lesley
I used to knit dishcloths at school, many moons ago now!! We used soft string? - that's what it seemed to be anyway......

ubereglu
Ooh, he's good! I think you should make them out of other wool and then make a blanket out of squares with cockerals making a chequerboard effect...it would look really good! Ain't Nobody Here
I didn't even know you could knit dishcloths . I think they're lovely and are far to good to get wet. I agree, make loads for a throw or bedcover . Or start knitting now and sell them to us for next Christmas .

ali-s
I've drawer full in the kitchen I started making them when I picked up the knitting needles after 10 years of no knitting. They are made from dishcloth yarn and are so much better than shop bought ones, more scrubby without being scratchy if you know what I mean. I think they will last for ages but when they do wear out I can throw them on the compost heap

AJuff
One of my friends gave me some unbleached cotton to knit a dish cloth. At first I thought she was mad but they are sooo lovely to use. I'll definately be knitting a cockeral cloth.
