Martin B
I've been able to get on but it has been so slow it is untrue!
Tessa the Duchess
[quote="Olly" No giraffe just a blank page and the words 'phBB critical error'. Same for me I only pressed submit once too, still ended up with a triple posting. Whose broken the internet? Tessa
Christian
It kept double posting for me yesterday too
Egluntyne
I've not been able to get on the forum either. Very frustrating. I gave up and did some ironing instead. I begin to get a twitch if I can't get my forum fix! oh no.......... I thought it might sort out the karma balance.
MedusA
I noticed the forum crashing a couple of times yesterday too - once I even got a page telling me that the server was 'up to it's limit' Sorry. That must have been me! I had a posting frenzy!
Clur
It can be difficult jumping into a forum that is already well established and one that has obviously forged a close-knit circle of friends. As a newbie it's been invaluable to have answers to my posts - I've received great advice and had my fears allayed, and made to feel largely welcome. Thank you. The Dogmother
I gave up last night as well, and just got booted off when I tried to post I have spoken to James about it this mornng and he is trying to migrate the forum over to a new server...this will happen in the next couple of weeks as it's not a simple job. He thanks you all for bearing with him, but please continue to post/email him with any problems.
crazygal
Hi- I would like to echo Clur and also say that as a newbie I have found this forum to be utterly invaluable... also hope that there isn't any "pre Hugh and Jamie" chicken keeping s"Ooops, word censored!"bery please?! I used to be on another forum, but have found myself on this one instead because of the welcoming feel- but I don't want to be responsible for it crashing!!! little chickadee
also hope that there isn't any "pre Hugh and Jamie" chicken keeping s"Ooops, word censored!"bery please?! None from me Crazygal - just think it's really cool how many people seem to be going mad for chicken keeping at the moment. Good on the chef blokeys! The Dogmother
I think you'll find that this is a very inclusive forum - no s"Ooops, word censored!"bery whatsoever here! Lots of talk about chocolate, wine, pants and men's bums though
Laura & CTB
Lots of talk about chocolate, wine, pants and men's bums though (usually started by Claret) *puts on trainers and starts running*
Egluntyne
also hope that there isn't any "pre Hugh and Jamie" chicken keeping s"Ooops, word censored!"bery please?! I haven't spotted any. I'd be very surprised if I did to be honest.
Olly
I think as long as you're genuinely interested in chickens (or chocolate, steam cleaners, men's pants, Crocs and all the other stuff on the Nesting Box!) you'll find a warm welcome. what you won't find on this forum are abusive postings - this is definitely the friendliest forum I've ever found, and it's very well moderated. It was I who posted about people joining post Hugh and Jamie, but I was only joking, honest! I love my chickens and am so enthusiastic about them, I'm delighted that other people are getting into them.
Egluntyne
Anyone else finding the forum agonisingly slow at this precise moment. 1.15.pm Wed. It's like being on dial up. Or is it my computer....I am uncertain as it is very grumbly at present.
