Egluntyne
PM's stay in your outbox until the recipient logs on. If they happen to be online when you send it....it goes immediately. If you have PM'd someone who logs on rarely....it can sit there for weeks.
Ain't Nobody Here
Oh I see, that explains it (you are so clever ). How do you know these things .
Olly
Ah! Well that's a relief, I was worried that I hadn't sent it. I'm still puzzled about my missing 'new' pm, but I've had another pm since then so somethings are getting through! Thanks for the explanation Egluntine. Egluntyne
It was dire this aft....I couldn't get on for about an hour at one point. I started to get the DT's. Cate in NZ
I've been struggling to get on this evening I've actually got a (rare) free half hour or so and was looking forward to some forum time and it kept redirecting me to Google listings for Omlet . Very unhappy Here now, but the ironing is now crying out to be done. Hmmm..... ironing or forum Ok sounds like no contest, but can I send my children to school shirtless
Snowy
I've been struggling to get on this evening I've actually got a (rare) free half hour or so and was looking forward to some forum time and it kept redirecting me to Google listings for Omlet . Very unhappy Here now, but the ironing is now crying out to be done. Hmmm..... ironing or forum Ok sounds like no contest, but can I send my children to school shirtless Well, since my oldest son asked what I'd got against creases, I don't worry about it too much! Send 'em in wrinkly shirts - you might start a new trend
Tessa the Duchess
Here now, but the ironing is now crying out to be done. chelsea
or wash it again! If something is too creased I put it back in the wash I dont do much ironing here.
hillfamily
Make them wear a jumper over the top (that's what I do ) It's winter......my lot aren't allowed to remove their jumpers ..........so if I'm pushed for time their shirts don't get ironed
Cate in NZ
Make them wear a jumper over the top (that's what I do ) Great idea, and it works a treat for Immi.......I just tell her not to remove her uniform sweatshirt and she's fine. Seb on the other hand wears a white shirt, school tie, and a blazer, no jumper, sweatshirt, vest or coat, regardless of weather. So I feel like a neglectful mum if I send him out in creases. But I could get him to iron his own. It works with going out clothes.........not sure that school uniform will attract the same interest That said, I'm still here.....not managed to tear myself away yet

susanbb
The irony of the forum being so busy of late was that I was trying to get on the forum to tell you just how busy it was .......but couldn't Mind you, reading what Claret has said has made me
Lesley
But I could get him to iron his own. It works with going out clothes.........not sure that school uniform will attract the same interest I was going to suggest that all these older children should be ironing their own I had to start at age 12....... so did my two younger sisters....... and so did my daughter and son when they reached the magical age........... Ain't Nobody Here
I've been making my boys iron their own school shirts for a few years now (they're 13 and 15). I iron everything else though . YS irons them diligently but ES now doesn't care if they're creased so doesn't bother . I hang up the shirts carefully so they're not too bad and try to ignore any creases . little chickadee
Make them wear a jumper over the top (that's what I do ) It's winter......my lot aren't allowed to remove their jumpers ..........so if I'm pushed for time their shirts don't get ironed That's what I used to do in the TA. I hate ironing and in the winter we weren't allowed to take our jumpers off even though we were sweating away with the heating on full power. I just ironed the collars
chickencam
That's the good thing about the winter you can hide a lot under a jumper My ironing pile has reached legendary proportions and really must be tackled today, because OH is taking the day off tomorrow to do the allotment and I will be helping.
