craftyhunnypie
Sorry if I'm hogging the nesting box a bit, it's just that I am truly over excited as I'm off to Thailand tomorrow afternoon!!!! Going to give the girls another good clean out & pop to Lidl to get a tray of sweetcorn for them (easier for chicken sitter to open with ring pull lids). God they are spoilt! I've also got some oats for them, some little gem lettuces & a little wheat!!! All packed - nails painted, hair done - it will just be leg wax, bikini wax & nice soak in the bath tonight and chill with a glass of wine. How I will ever sleep tonight - god knows! We are going with my parents & my dad is very over excited too!!!! Going to give the girlies lots of free range time this afternoon & lots of cuddles. Wonder why they won't let me have them sat next to me on the plane? I can just picture them knocking back a G & T with their headphones on & buying their duty free from the cabin crew! Well best get on I suppose. Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
Thanks everyone!!! Back from Lidl - sweetcorn run! And I bought some chocolate Easter hens!!!! £1.99!!! They are hens sat on foil wrapped eggs & a chocolate nest - all wrapped in cellophane! Now got the task of cleaning those roosting bars! I am travelling in crocs, but Sassari (wedge) ones - they too are soooo comfy! Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
Phew! those roosting bars were hard work - had to get the jet wash on the cube ones - they are just ridiculously huge! I think one day I am going to trade my cube for 2 eglus instead - far easier to clean - not as many parts & the roosting bars are far easier - roll on plastic ones! Well chooks are all tucked up in their fresh beds - seen my chicken sitter etc etc. Really looking forward to my long soak in the bath and a nice telly watch later - quite a treat, as we don't really bother with much except coronation street!! The cat knows we are going away &~ is sulking. Our neighbour looks after her. This time tomorrow, I will be ponging of every perfume possible in duty free! craftyhunnypie
I'll try & pop on the forum to say hi when I'm there sometime, as the hotel has Wifi in the room. Just made boursin stufed mushrooms with bacon & breadcrumbs - & parmesan on the top. Wish they'd hurry up! Then we r having scampi - how romantic! he he Emma.x
craftyhunnypie
Not long now! Been tracking the flight and been on the Qatar Airways website to check it wasn't delayed from Doha. Can't wait to hit the duty free in the Middle East . They have wonderful perfume oils & gold!!!! I always get treated to a pair of gold earrings!!! Mum is gold mad, especially with it being 24ct really yellow gold. So we both get through security asap and rush to the counters like a pair of mad women!!!! Hubby & dad just enjoy a quick tipple at the bar and a bite to eat. The only thing we don't like about Middle Eastern Airports are those stand & crouch toilets! How you arew supposed to wee without getting it all over your trousers, god knows! There is always a cup / jug hanging, so perhaps you are supposed to wee in the cup? Perhaps Christian can advise as he will have experienced many! But he's a bloke, so it would be no problem to point & shoot! Anyway, I'm still in my jim jams, so best get showered & ready. The Dogmother
The cup, or hose is to rinse your bottom after you've 'been' - they are fanatical about cleanliness. (I lived in a moslem country for a while)
