I started reading this with a real sense of dread but I'm SO pleased to see a happy ending, must be hard waiting for her but at least you know she's OK. Maybe the local TV station would pick it up, they could REALLY do something for the BHWT!

We have just been in to the local butchers and they asked was it one of our hens on the radio.

 

She is a bit of a celebrity...she would have to play herself in the tv role.

Radio station have contacted Emma at BHWT in Norfolk and they are doing a piece on ex-batts as a result of Mistletoe's escape.

Just caught up on this janty - what brilliant news, and a lucky chicken too. It's amazing how everyone has rallied around to help - eggs all round, I say.

The two presenters of the morning show have just been given some eggs. They are really pleased that she's coming home.I gave them the eggs in the Omlet boxes and one of them was saying that he would really like to keep hens again. I told hime to look at the website.

isn't it funny, i always believe things happen for a reason (as cliched as that sounds) and it seems a lot of good has come out of her little adventure.

What a wonderful story Janty. I too thought the worst, especially after leaving her in an alley way by the Fish and chip shop. That must be the worst place with predatory foxes sniffing around. I am so, so pleased. Absolutely thrilled to bits for you. What a very precious girl little Mistletoe is!
