The great disappearing Pengy

Recommended Posts

Pengy you've done really well, and I too wouldn't have said you were that big to start with either!

I have been wanting to lose a little weight since I went to the summer gathering at Burleigh a few years ago - and slowly but surely I have lost a little of the flab, and gone from a 34 waist to a 32. I went shopping with Anita yesterday (and spent a fortune ) but some of the 32 waist jeans I bought are very comfy and have plenty of room.

I'll admit I wasn't huge - but when I met Joe 7 years ago now, I was a 28" waist - far too small for my height and build - but I got very depressed when it crept up and up. Now I'm happy, with the odd bit that won't shift. For me it's not about the weight it's the shape - I don't even know how heavy I am

You'll reach that target weight soon, and really have something to show your ex-OH what he is missing :P Well done

Thats what I live by. And don't go by dress sizes as some places would have me wearing a 16 and yet I get described as thin. Get to where you feel comfortable and most importantly feel healthy and happy in your skin.

Wow, you look fantastic! Well done on your amazing journey. You are an inspiration.

I've been doing Slimming World for about a month now and have done quite well - until the last couple of days when I've blipped out!!! I must get back on track.

Well done for doing so well.

I wish my husband told me to eat another croissant. :( His last girlfriend (before I bewitched him into marrying me) put on nearly four stone in the course of their relationship, and she wasn't a skinny minnie to start off with. So I am pretty constantly policed about my weight. Luckily, as long as I cycle into work most days and fence once a week, I can keep at a size 12. Am slightly concerned that I'll get fat when we have kids, and I won't be able to lose it again like my mum....maybe I'll have to try getting amoebic dysentry again. I was so ill, but did have a 24 inch waist for my wedding.

I know what I weigh, but it's the shape that bothers me - I'm in classic apple-shaped pre-diabetes territory and want out, fast!

On the downside, it means I'll have to lose quite a lot of weight before anyone apart from my DH sees a real difference - baggy jumpers and T-shirts hide a multitude of sins

WOW :D Well done pengy!!

You look great. It is so hard and all consuming loosing weight. I have done weight watchers, slimmers world and scottish slimmers. All with some success but have been off it for the last 4 years or so and its creeping on again. My husband is hopeless as he is not bothered and loves me as I am thin or fat so I dont get any encouragement.

He is also a chocoholic, which is not good for me.

On the up side, I dont get critisised constantly for eating which must be very hard to live with for your self esteem.

I need to get motivated again.
