TAJ
After a wet weekend I have moved them off the grass (still out on grass by day) and borrowed the run roof idea from the forum - also some people have asked about the Omlet netting, so photos of that as well. Tracy New set-up (two sheets of roofing & bungee's very cheap and easy) Handy to watch them from inside the house ...and I think they are watching me! The girls ...and however much room they have things are always better through the netting!
cluckbok
Like your pretty chooks. That's a good idea for the run cover. We just got one from Omlet but when it gets too old, we could do same.

Rolo Rabbit
That's lovely Tracy - I'd love to be able to watch mine from inside like that.
Carol U
Lovely pictures and beautiful girls. It's good to see the Omlet netting in use. I may have to get some soon or I'll have no garden left!
chelsea
Great idea to have them so you can see them and they can see you. I bet you'll find that the hens are really nosey and will be spying on you all the time! lovely looking hens
AJuff
Don't your girls escape? I feel I must have the only hens that are constantly escaping. Netting holds no bars and even our fence which is a little over six foot high and they still escape. Are they just badly trained?
BarbaraJ
The grass is always greener on the other side maybe they are feeding them over there?
TAJ
Rye escaped once, when the netting was closer to the run, but then panicked as she couldn't walk back through the netting to get to the others. Obviously my girls are not too adventerous! Tracy
