Cinnamon
We just had lunch in Zizzi's,& sat opposite the lovely & talented John Hannah. I was VERY tempted to ask for an autograph or try to get a sneaky photo, but chickened out
SarahJo
Wow ... I really like him ... bet he would have obliged if you had asked, but then you always feel intrusive . Ben and Joe are having a quick nap before we go out at Six ... the only famous peeps we might see in Prestbury are Wayne Rooney, Noddy Holder or the guy that does Antiques (Dickinson ). Would love to see John Hannah though
Mrs Frugal
Well fancy that! We were only watching Four Weddings and a Funeral last night! John Hannah was wonderful in that! I'd have chickened out of asking for an autograph too, Sarah! I'm not very brave when it comes to things like that. It'll be a nice memory for you though! Martin B
Tut Tut, If you ask you get them 99% of the time. I've got hundreds of football ones. I addend Zat Knight and Tony Warner's autographs to my collection yesterday at the Villa!
Cinnamon
Martin,I just couldn't He was with his wife, little children & mum/MIL & I would have felt really pushy asking him on a family occassion He was lovely & smiley though,& spent all his time looking after the little ones while his wife enjoyed her meal It did beg the question - what if it had been a true hero of mine,or *gasp* Sean Bean ????? Hellcat
Well fancy that! We were only watching Four Weddings and a Funeral last night! One of my best films! the bit in the first wedding with Simon Callow making sick faces while folk singer croon 'can't smile without you...' is a classic comedy moment! by the by - we got married in the same church the second wedding (Rowan Atkinson as vicar) was filmed in. Hellcat
Hah! He was worse than that! We had to learn our vows by heart 'I only marry grown-ups here. If you want to get hitched here you will learn your vows, none of that repeat after me nonsense!' We did and it was really cool . everyone said they had never seen it done before. saved valuable drinking time too!
Cinnamon
I am SUCH an idiot!!!!! We were sitting there, enjoying our lovely meal chatting (quietly) about what movies John Hannah had been in,& we said to the girls that he was most famous for "4 weddings & a funeral" They couldn't see him as there was a wall in the way,so didn't take much notice. It wasn't until last night that I remembered that he was in "The Mummy" & played Cleo's all time favourite movie character,Jonathan. She even had a poster of him on her wall She would have loved to have got his autograph,& I am sure he would have obliged for a little fan Cleo is now not speaking to me
Lesley
OFF TOPIC (Who? Me?) - Sarah, do you really go to a resataurant called Zizzi's? I saw it in the Mothering Sunday thread and it made me smile - am I the only one to read colloquial French books?

Cate in NZ
We've got a Zizzi nearby too, and it's one of my favourite restaurants. I had no idea that it was part of a chain..... and even less idea as to what Zizzi meant in French But Zizzi is an Italian style restaurant, pizza & pasta predominantly, so maybe the French bypassed them too. Please don't now tell me that it means something even worse in Italian
