BarbaraJ
Well i think i left it a little late but was very excited and nervous. Had to wait for the hail to finish and then the sun came out so out i went Amber about a minute after opening the door lol She had a little look round about 10' of garden and then went back in aww Ruby and Ebony just stayed inside the run looking at her as if to say 'how the £$"%$ did she get out there' Oh and Ruby tried out the dust bath !!!! power napping!!! Sarah B
How lovely! Super pics! Mine power nap in the dust bath that is the latest run hole they have dug! Don't worry about them being scared to go out at first or just having a look and going back in - mine had their 5th venture out today and actually went as far as 10 feet from the run! They even stayed out of the run for a whole hour before whizzing back in for a power nap!

TAJ
To start with I put some mixed corn just outside the door to entice them out - they actually focused on the grain I didn't realise they were out. Of course these days if I go out in the garden and do not actually let them out it is rather noisey and if I try and reach in for the glug whilst not letting them out they will try and push by! They will soon get use to it. Tracy
Ain't Nobody Here
It's lovely to watch them explore for the first time isn't it .
BarbaraJ
It is next time i'll use the mixed corn an try and get them all out for a while!

Carol U
Lovely pics. Don't worry - they'll soon be out and about and exploring. Quite soon, when they've totally vandalised your garden, you'll be wishing they'd stay in a bit more! However, for some strange reason, you love them anyway. MedusA
What lovely pics. Obviously Amber is the most adventurous!
BarbaraJ
Well in between, hail, snow, sun and wind i got out there for 15mins today and let them out. Ruby was first followed shortly by Amber but Ebony took ages and flew out the door gave me a fright lol She was only out about 5 mins and it started snowing again so i got my raincoat and gave them 5 more mins lol They don't seem to mind me moving around them now which is great as i could gently herd Ebony back in the run with the other 2 so i could go indoors! BarbaraJ
They have found a new fun place to forage: all the junk accumalates under there in the winter
Ain't Nobody Here
. I hope you're going to set the swingball up for them (you could attach sweetcorn instead of the tennis ball - hours of fun could be had ).
superjules
Your Ebony looks just like my Magpie. Lovely pics, very brave of you to let them out - I panicked like anything when I let mine out for the first time, even though they didn't go anywhere, I was just paranoid they'd run away!! MrandMrsG
How lovely, they look so happy. My girls seem to recognise the sound of my car when I return from work and just know when they'll be released out of their pen. Trouble is weekends throw them! BarbaraJ
I've noticed that when i approach them now they don't move but when my daughter went near them they moved away nice to know they are settled with their mum

Egluntyne
Mine scatter if Him Indoors goes near....a rare enough event in its self. Mind you he has this ridiculous habit of cockadoodledoing at them.
