Louise
I was looking for a property near me that has just gone up and spotted this http://www.johnsale.co.uk/newlook/viewJPP00862.html I loved that flat and moved out 5 years ago and it has since been sold 3 more times I sold it for 44K and now it is offers over 98K It will likely sell for about 115 as well Since I lived there it has had central heating added and a new kitchen but nothing else apart from painting by the looks of it the bathroom is the same which surprises me and the funky colours I painted it are gone the lounge was bright yellow and the bedroom was purple and lilac They have kept the fitted wardrobes in the bedroom which I had done which is good because it was expensive I only moved because it was only one bedroom but it hasd the most amazing views over the town and the valley I was speaking to someone who recently moved out of Peebles and she said the town was nightmare these days for traffic so maybe it is not a bad thing but I so want to go and view my old flat am I a bit sad
Tina C
The flat is lovely. Its weird when you see your old home on the net isn't it. Especially when you see the price rises. I still love what was my first house in St Neots - but the area has gone a bit downhill since I moved
chickenlass
It does look a lovely place. I can understand your feeling a little odd to see it on the market again. Not sure I would recommend going and having and look though.....I think I would find it a bit upsetting even if you were very happy there. Ain't Nobody Here
Never go back, 'tis my motto Unless you've left the supermarket without your shopping. Or come out of the loo with your skirt tucked into your knickers.
Omletina Kyckling
Probably best not to view it - might feel weird . Never go back, 'tis my motto Tessa Hey!! Don't say that! We bought back the old Georgian Farmhouse we sold about five years ago last year and it was that which justified me getting my chickens. It felt odd viewing it (especially as we bought from the people we sold to!) and a bit strange when we first moved in, but don't regret it at all. It was meant to be. I think they scared my lovely ghost away though - I used to see the old farmer looking out from the garden room onto the land, and he's not been back this time.... Now I have never heard of anybody doing that. Good job you never left them any surprises when you left before otherwise they would have had a chance to get you back I have not really lived anywhere that I would like to move back to
Louise
I don't want to buy it back just go and see it I couldn't afford to buy it back My dad wanted to buy it when I sold it and my mum wouldn't let him I won't be telling him what it is currently priced at I think it is just the amazing views that I really miss about the place I am gutted the purple is gone from the bedroom though If I had the money I would definitely buy it back and rent it out

Eyren
I sold it for 44K and now it is offers over 98K It will likely sell for about 115 as well The housing market is scary these days. Cambridge used to be an expensive place to buy property (still is, if you want to live 5 mins from the station), but everywhere seems to be catching up now that people are willing to commute insane distances in order to live in the countryside
bronze
If I came into a load of money I would buy our old cottage back in an instant. It would have to be as well as though as its tiny and we could never fit all of us in. Its special to me though as we got engaged in the cottage, got married in the church down the road and had our first som while living there.
