craftyhunnypie
That sounds good for a kick start week chickvic. My problem is I'm not drinking enough & I must start exercising again - walking & biking. At least it's gardening weather again - that shifts the weight I've noticed. I don't like looking like a moose! Emma.x
Chickvic
Well it arrived bright and early and have had granola for breakfast. The days worth of food (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack) actually come in under 1000 calories so you add fruit and vegetables and a daily allowance of 125ml of semi skimmed milk every day. I have to admit that seeing how much you're supposed to have for breakfast compared to what I normally have is a bit of an eye opener I'll let you know how it's going in a few days time. If I look like a moose then I'll have lost some weight
BeckyBoo
Evening everyone, I feel like an alcoholic visiting an AA meeting! Well, I tried Slimming World last year and lost a stone but stopped in the summer and never managed to restart. The weight has crept up slightly and I've now put back about 4lbs. Trouble is eating has nothing to do with me being hungry, I just like food and hate waste - a lethal combination! Anyway, having devoured all the left over hot cross buns (with proper butter ) from the picnic today and as I am going through MD's cheesestrings at an alarming rate I've finally decided enough is enough. I managed to get into size 14 jeans at the end of my Slimming World thing but they're now tight and I don't like it. I can't go back to Slimming World as I have no childcare in the evening so I'm going to try just using my book and a bit of will-power - if anyone's got any spare can they please post it to me, I'll pay the postage! I'm having a glass of wine tonight as a last "blow-out" before kicking myself up the bum and getting on with it. BeckyBoo
Chickvic
How's it going Becky? I have just been out on a 30 min bike ride and now feel half dead - which is an improvement as I've been in 20 minutes DH and kids had an ice-cream and I managed with a bottle of water It'll be interesting to see what I weigh on Monday. BeckyBoo
Well I don't know how many points there are in a Mr Whippy ice cream (with a flake and chocolate sauce ) but I'm darned sure they haven't worked out how many points there are in Dorset apple cake so I think I'd better put today as a flexi day! Blackrocksrock
I struggle all the time with my weight and am slowly slowly losing a little but not enough - One of our clients gave me 2 courgette plants ( they are flowering too) which were really far on and with mine too I will have loads. She says she grates the courgettes and steams them and serves as spag bol using the courgette as the spaghetti as its really no fat and healthier - will try it when they are ready and see but sounds good. Lesley
That sounds like a good idea.... - although I'd rather replace the meat sauce with courgettes! So.......I'd end up with courgettes and tomato sauce
Sheilaz
Sounds good Susan, although I'd just replace half of the pasta else I'd get too hungry later. Also, I personally find my metabolism adjusts if I don't take in some carbs, I just need to make the intake smaller and avoid the sugary ones! Mmmm, tomatoes and courgettes, might do that this w/e. Rhapsody! Well done you, what an inspiration. It's good that this has been a healthy, steady plan. Wonderful news, I'm delighted for you. Do you feel lots better for it? Jules.
Well guys I'm in with you all now After seeing the photos of me at the Sheffield kill, pluck & bone course I was I suppose I was in denial a bit about my size. So, today we've worked out my BMI & its at 28 overweight ( I'm not surprised at that!) I'm on holiday in 9 weeks 6 days & from now till then I want to get a healthy BMI of 25. I know that BMI calculations can be misleading, but still to get to a BMI of 25 I need to lose 16lbs, & if at all possible I'd lke to lose that in the 10 weeks I have left before my hols. Possible????? So I'd like to plot my weight loss & BMI score on here every week. I'm going to do 5 lots of exercise each week, I have the Claire from Steps DVD which I have done this afternoon, I'll do that 3 times a week, then go swimming once & for a fast walk as well. Rhapsody
Well done, Rhapsody. Can you tell me how long it took you to lose the weight? Thanks for all the pats on the back people! I joined WW in the second week of September last year. Not a spectacular turbo-charged weight loss, but I'm delighted with the result. Problem is I keep going clothes shopping! Goosey Lucy
Can I join in? I've become so fed up about my size recently that I've bought a course of Alli tablets from Boots online. I've been taking them for a week with no unpleasant side effects so far OH and I are weighing ourselves every Sunday morning before breakfast, fingers crossed I've actually managed to lose something this week. Jules.
I've weighed myself this morning & I have lost 3lb & my BMI has gone down to 27.2 from 28 last week I also feel like I've got loads more energy than before, which I'm amazed at after only 1 week of excercising. I'd forgotten how doing a spot of exercise makes you feel afterwards. I'm hooked on the endorphins now

littleleicesterfox
Goodness, with DH's pancreatitis and subsequent four-week wait for his gall-bladder op I guess I'm joining you guys in here. I'm trying to keep to his diet as well although I must admit that I do allow myself a little more butter/cheese than he is allowed (not much - just enough butter to dampen my new potatoes tonight - about 10g); it does not help that I don't eat chicken! We had a lean steak in a red wine marinade to tenderise it before eating tonight with new potatoes and I had corn on the cob and DH had brocolli and it was very nice I lost 1/2 stone last week and he loast 10 pounds but I would not recommend the diet to anybody
