gooner.girl
OOOHHHH! Sherbert Fountains! Just seeing the packaging takes me back a few years to the 1980's! Happy days!
Guest
when i was little, i used to put a few different colours in at the same time to see what colour they turned into. I pulled the sticky melange out of my mouth one day and right in the middle was one of my fillings!
Guest
I remember spacedust.. weird popping stuff : when i was little, my dad put some of that in our cat's mouth once, it went bonkers! He used to torment the cat something chronic. He'd put pegs on it's tail or put it in a carrier bag and hang it on the washing line. He loved our cat but also loved teasing it! Mutrix Farmers
My favourite rubbish sweets when I was little were spaceship (2 for a penny)and yellow banana shaped sweets. I sometimes buy the bananas from the kids pick and mix in Woollies and pretend they are for my grandson, but they are really for me Tessa Julian Graves (the health food people) sell bags of bananas, shrimps and flying saucers!! I loved sherbert pips, 5p for 2 oz and the bag lasted ages
Cooks
oh yes! sherbert pips! we used to buy those and take them into school was ok until the teachers caught you, they didn't confiscate them they'd make you give them some!! especially the art teacher, he loved sweets! If anyone can find nutty bars I would love to have another one of those.

Helly Welly
I loked at the Opal Fruits advert on Youtube and ralised that i still remembered all the words Couldn't resist a peek at the Jacobs Club advert as well Every Sunday, when i was a kid, we used to go and get a quarter of sweets from the local shop. I always got pineapple cubes, they used to last me all week. Luckily, there is a proper sweet shop in Leicester, with shelves of jars behind the counter. Time to revisit it, i think
Jules.
Galaxy counters. my fav They are back !!!!!!!! Just seen an advert on the telly. Can you tell I'm excited? and about to put two stone on They've gone all grown up though with the packaging, no more cartoon owls or giraffes on them
WitchHazel
I wonder if they'll bring back Galaxy counters Galaxy Counters are back..but not in the packaging you remember. The packaging hasn't come back (the white bag with a counting animal on, like Percy the Pelican). They've come back as a "female indulgence" product, in a bag which is part of the swirly brown Galaxy wrapping. But it's the Galxy Counter product inside. EDITED: Sorry Jools, I replied to this post when I saw it on page 1, I hadn't got to the end and spotted that you had already replied. bluekarin
mmmmm love Opal Fruits! Were Pascals the mild minty ones? If so loved them too! What I'd love to see brought back are Texan bars. I had a look at the link and saw that they actually brought them back a few years ago! And I didn't know! The sad thing is I only found them just before they stopped making them.
