YAY - well done you !!!

 

I dont know what the benefits in France are, but my mum has just become a pensioner and gets "the bus for free :D " (I think that was what she had waited for :roll: )

 

she also goes up to random people in shops and asks for help with no embarassment at all (she can cos she's old) including people that look rather scary, (you know the type :lol: )

 

have fun - be naughty - you can cos your old :lol::lol:

Congratulations Jackiepoppies, happy birthday from a fellow Taurean :)

 

Being a pensioner has many benefits, although I'm unsure what happens

in France. Here you get a pension....obviously. A free bus and tube pass :D

Some money to help with your heating bills in winter, consessions in

cinemas, galleries and sometimes the theatre. The best thing is that you

can behave in weird and eccentric ways and "Ooops, word censored!"ody bats an eyelid, as someone else said "cos your old" :roll:

Thank you everybody :D.......you made my day :!:

I did have the wine...treated us to a fairly expensive bottle compared to our usual 3 euro one [or two.....], nice meal at home [most restaurants are closed on Mondays] but going out to a very flash [ie expensive] one on Wednesday which has a TV chef. Should be fun.

 

Only 16 days until I am back to take delivery of my birthday present from OH, my LILAC CUBE. Hope Omlet will deliver on time cos I'm only there for a limited time and I'm very excited. Have been checking out the availability of chooks over here, a bit difficult getting the locals to understand that I DON'T want to put the chooks in the pot!

 

Of course, we're also coming back to see our DD&DS and 4 gorgeous grandkids [3 years & under!]
