" ANH - "mwah hah hah " Is the gate she is perching on in this picture serving a purpose? .....it doesn't seem to be attached to anything on the left. It's so windy here that it wouldn't have been safe (think spatchcock chicken ). It's already been blown over when it was left "open". I think the final addition may have to be another bit of trellis on the other bit - they'd have trouble jumping straight up onto that. Or would they ................... . Thing is, I quite like it when they sit on the gate - I get a lovely view of them (and the flowerbed gets composted without the middleman ). I have a 'gate' of sorts on betweenthe patio and the rest of the garden, it's made out of wire fencing and nowhere as nice as yours, but they never even fly up onto it.
