She has just died, I don't know how.

I found her this morning andshe has just died in my arms.

 

She had a good life.

She was THE best chicken in the world.

 

 

 

I love you babs, I will always miss you.

Dad just came home for work and put her in a box.

I don't know what to do with her later, wait untill mom and brother get home and then we will probably bury her in the garden.

 

The house and garden wont be the same, no babs clucking around and running down to the patio for food.

She was one of the original 3 chickens we got, and the last of them.

 

I'm not a cry'y person but I am really upset. I think it's because she was fine yesterday and now gone forever.

Oh Lewis, I think we all cry when we lose our hens, especially when it's our favourite one. I cried buckets when Clarry had to be put to sleep. They have such a special place in our hearts because they have such big characters. Babs was such a delightful little lady - I loved the video of her as she was so very sweet. She'll always be with you in your heart.

So sorry to read your sad news Having recently lost one of my own I can understand how awful you must be feeling. If she seemed OK yesterday then at least you can take some comfort from the fact that she didn't suffer a long illness or anything.

I finished my exams yesterday, so I am so glad that I was at home and she didn't die on her own.

 

It was just a huge unexpected shock, and I still don't know what happened.

I know exactly how you are feeling Lewis, I also lost one of my chickens on Monday.......she was called Babs too! It's heartbreaking but she died in your arms and I'm sure that would have been a comfort to her. R.I.P your Babs & my Babs x x
