ali-s Posted July 2, 2008 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Well we are just about all packed and ready to move Just waiting for Andy to come home from work and then the computers are being boxed. I am taking one Eglu and both runs to the cottage tomorrow and the chickens and other Eglu will be moved on Friday. I have bought a landing net just in case the girls decide to play hard to get A lovely deep bubble bath for me later on as the cottage does not have a bath I am so excited Off to browse the rest of the fourms while I have the chance. I'm back The day of the move went smoothly However, since then the dishwasher has died, the washing machine is dying, we have had two power cuts, no phone and no broadband I am on dial up for 3 weeks and it is sooooo slooooow We will laugh about it all in a years time We have all settled in well including the chickens We start decorating tomorrow starting with the bathroom as the carpet is stinking. It is so quiet here in the evenings and at the weekends but boy it can be noisy when a tornado passes right overhead at about 100 feet Yesterday we were sat out in the garden waving at the Hercules pilots and F16 pilots as they came into land. I am thinking of starting up B&B for plane spotters My veg garden is covered in 5 foot tall nettles and I can't even get to the end of the garden. I did find a gooseberry bush covered in fruit and the apple and pears trees have masses of fruit forming. I love it here I took some photos on our second day here but I think I will wait until the broadband is up and running before attempting to put them here.
