chelsea
Beautiful here...dry. sunny. no sign of fog or frost. Same here, no frost either but its cold enough for the ice to remain in the garden from yesterday.
Christian
The windscreen of my car is iced up, but no plans to leave the house today Showing -1 on my weather station. Sad or not? The glugs were slightly frozen this morning, a bit like a slush puppy
Blackrocksrock
My weather station was bought from comet reduced to £5 2 years ago - its great and on the kitchen wall with a sensor outside the office window at the other end of the house. It is constantly used and looked at and tells the inside and outside temp, humidity, time which is constantly updated and sunrise and sunset times and barometer readings. It is showing -3.9 this morning - we had a shower of snow last night so a nice dusting outside but slippy, also foggy and horrid

The Dogmother
Much milder here today and (dare I say it?) it looks ot be clearing up now... typical when I'm back at work. Only two of us in though and we've decided to call it POETS day and go home early anyhow. Egluntine is right - I live just a hop and skip to work though the park at the bottom of the road - lovely walk at almost any time of the year. We'd have to have snow on Alaskan proportions to be snowed in! Rosie's school, which is just a quarter of a mile away shuts at the slightest provocation. Lesley - I got a Science Museum weather station for Christmas last year and it's brilliant I don't know of any Lidl stores sround here

Egluntyne
Absolutely gorgeous here....and warm Just been out to play with the hens and had to take my coat off! A neighbour is washing his car...and is wearing shorts. Not a pretty sight!
The Dogmother
Can I take it back then Lesley - now overcats and sleet showers here, much colder again, so we still might get the snow we're forecast!

chelsea
Lighter nights - 4pm - not even dimpsy. Has anyone noticed how light it is tonight? I put the chickens in at 3pm - reckon I could have given them a bit longer freeranging.
The Dogmother
Must just be sunny Devon then Chelsea except for a ray or two of sun just before lunchtime, it has been resolutely grey and horrid here

It's been a lovely sunny day here- still cold but not quite so bad as the last few days... think it's going to be a frosty night though...
Ardene5
Hi Everyone Yesterday here in Preesall near Blackpool was a nice day but still cold at night it was -2. This morning there is cloud cover and it feels as if it is a wee bit warmer but there is a chill factor as there is a wind. I have just brought the milk in and the cars are not covered in frost like they have been recently as the Volvo has a temperature sensor I have just had a quick look and it is a "warm" +1 degrees .... wow Hope it is going to be a nice weekend in weather and trust you have a nice weekend too. Best wishes for 2009. Ian

Prices start at £5 (out of stock at the moment) but there is one there for £17.99. Yesterday was sunny and felt quite warm even though there was frost and ice all day. Truly a beautiful Winters day Frosty again this morning and feeling colder. Still pitch black outside so too early to tell what today will bring. My weather station hasn't recovered from the artic snap Everything is working except the outside temperature reading.
Egluntyne
Thanks ali-s. Weather here cold damp and grey. Such a contrast to yesterday.
Trish
no snow forecast here but thick frost this morning, cars are iced over and even the wood chip in the run has frozen solid. Supposed to be sunny later but no warmer than 1 or 2 degrees. I know it's cold but isn't this what Dec/Jan is supposed to be like? I don't like it when winters are mild.
