Ardene5
Hi Everyone, Although there is no frost here in Preesall near Blackpool the temperature out side is just on the freezing mark e.g 0 degrees. It has been raining but at the moment it is dry and the forecast says dry but overcast all day. How is the weather in your neck of the woods wherever you live in the world? Best regards for 2009. Lesley
It is +3.3 here this morning - and I'm far too warm.......we forgot to turn the temp. down on the boiler before we went to bed We still have frozen snow on the ground in places and it is slightly foggy out there but not too bad. susanbb
Apparently 2c out there to go down to -3c later. Did have a little rain later yesterday though.
Lesley
I think the transmitter for the weather stationis in a too protected area outside and is showing 1C higher than it should. It has to be protected from direct sunlight and is tucked up under the low eaves at the front.
Egluntyne
6 degrees here. Positively balmy. In fact it is warmer outside than it is indoors. Grey and cloudy though.

MedusA
At last the girls did come out for a forage yesterday, whilst I warmed up by scrubbing out the frozen eglus. It feels much warmer today and most of the snow is gone, but the pond and glugs were still frozen. Hopefully if the roads are clear too, I shall venture out on my bike and do a biggish shop. The Dogmother
We had sleet and sloppy snow last night but this morning is much milder; +2.8deg when I left the house this morning, still some snow on the ground here, but dull and overcast and looks to be staying that way today. Chook n Boo Mum
Is your boiler still not fixed Egluntine ? Weather report form Chichester: Looking out over my back garden the sky to the NorthWest is dark grey & the sun has just broken through from the east, let's hope the East wins the weather battle for now at least! The temp is 2.2C & with the wind chill (huh, it's still out there ) is 2C. The mist which was hanging around earlier has cleared thankfully & it actually felt quite warm when I gave the chooks their breakfast at 7 this morning! The barometer is rising and the forecast says partly cloudy and little temp change...............can you tell we have a weather gizmo too? Ours has the wind spinner thingy on the roof (DH very bravely climbed a ladder to get it up there !!) and a raincatcher near the birdtable which keep attracting spiders to make nests in & giving inaccurate readings (I live with a gadget anorak ) When it's tipping it down with rain the gizmo registers "it's raining cats & dogs" Oooo blue sky is here, might have to do some outdoors stuff today, maybe not as DD is home with a temp & blistery throat (but the calpol has kicked in & she's hyper !!!) chickencam
+5 degrees here it feels quite odd actually, we still have some areas of lying snow and my feet are still frozen. I think we have perma frost under the downstairs floors. The cats have been treading muddy paw prints all over the hall carpet this morning Wind and heavy rain forecast for Sunday and Monday

I want, I NEED one It's a Davis Vantage Pro according to the printing on the outside of the gizmo, and is very probably a discontinued line as we've had it for several years ! Oh joy, a soggy garden, maybe I should go out & sort the compost heap before I can't get out of the gate again! Sha x
