Ain't Nobody Here
Medusa, your DD is beautiful . (And your OH scrubs up OK too . I'd play doctors & nurses every night if mine looked like that . Sorry, OH!)
Yorkshire Pudding
People are always telling me I look just like someone they know . It's really annoying . Makes me feel like I've just got a really common face . I get the same Vicki. I am convinced that there are lots of doppelgangers of me around. That makes 3 of us then! I just tell people I have a common face as well Seagazer wrote: (sorry Seagazer, the forum won't allow me to embed four quotes at once, so I've coloured yours to separate your text from mine) Four of us! When I was younger other people always thought I was somebody called Georgina. I get it even now, last time at the Neil Diamond concert. This woman swore she knew me. Five! I've never been Georgina though. Usually I get 'you look like my Auntie so-and-so'. An 11-year-old once stopped me in the street to tell me I looked like Bridget Jones. I'm not sure that's a compliment - Renee Zellweger looked pretty at times in that film although she scrubs up well. My Dad is rather like Paddy Ashdown - tall, red-haired and sort of craggy. He once had Charles Kennedy in the back of his taxi (he's a London cabbie). CK did a double take and said 'You know who you look like, don't you?'! In his younger days he had a beard and was the image of Charlton Heston playing Moses. The lady in the greengrocers used to go all weak at the knees when he went in. gooner.girl
Phils far more handsome then the bloke with the bull dog! (do i get extra points in pred league for saying that hun?!) Also, he doesn't look like his greyhound - despite the dieting - shes skinny and has got hair
Egluntyne
Oooh Patrick Stewart! Oooooh!*Swoons* My daughter used to have a saturday job in a shop in Sheffield and one of the ladies went to drama school with Patrick Stewart. One day, by chance, he came in, recognised her, chatted for ages and hugged her! Her street cred rating went up by miles with the youngsters. He was charming apparently. bronze
Apparently my Dad looks like Rolf Harris. I don't think so so much these days but when they were both younger I can see it.

Seagazer
Back in the 70's my dad looked like Richard o'Sullivan (Robin's nest) - he doesn't anymore though.
Guest
I have been compared to Roland gift (Fine Young Cannibals) and (bizarrely) Craig Charles (of Red Dwarf fame) maybe it's because I had that hat.... I never had curly hair Phil

Egluntyne
I think Craig Charles is lovely Me too. I love the character he plays in Coronation Street.... I wish they would beef his storyline up a bit and make him a main character instead of one of the peripherals.
Cinnamon
Me too Is he in Corrie then? He will always be Dave Lister to me,I am afraid
Egluntyne
Is he in Corrie then? He is Lloyd Mullaney, Steve McDonald's taxi firm partner. Their scenes together are like comedy masterclasses.

Paola
I think Craig Charles is lovely cathy x He used to live round the corner to the motorcycle shop that I worked in and would come in very drunk and not remember a thing the following visit He would also have some blazing rows with his wife in our workshop. The funniest thing was that I applied for his license for him but ticked a wrong box saying that he was blind A lovely down to earth chap

little chickadee
Talking about dopelgangers. I saw mine when I was at the Cambridge Folk festival. My hubbie saw her first in the main tent, then pointed her out to me. Only got a very quick glimpse but it was really really spooky. I wish I could have found her to have a closer look! Valkyrie
Good funnies on this thread. I don't look like anyone - perhaps Meatloaf on a bad day? My dad always looked like Fred Flintstone until he lost weight. OH - we have teased - looked like Mr Bean, even down to the way he ran around the swimming pool - Canadian cousin agreed! Although he isn't that bad! Then she tried to butter him up by saying he looked more like Dirk Bogard! At the moment his silly quiff of hair on his forehead makes him look like Napoleon! MedusA
I nearly forgot.....My Dad was often compared to Sean Connery (as James Bond in Dr. No) when he was young. Even I could see he was a good looking man. I'll have to see if I have any pics of him. I haven't seen him since I was 18 as he and my Mum split up when I was 11 and he lived first in Saudi Arabia then in Germany. I heard recently that he died, aged 64, of heart disease. It was a shame he never wanted to keep in touch.
Cinnamon
My grandad looked a lot like Tommy Steele & when they filmed 'Half a Sixpence' in Henley, he was stopped for his autograph all the time. My grandmum looked like Rita Hayworth
Mutrix Farmers
My Dad looks like Hank Marvin, although slightly less so now he has less hair (my Dad that is!) I have photo of my mum in her early twenties in which she looks a lot like Elizabeth Taylor (in her younger slimmer days) And my OH's work colleagues tell him he looks like Eamonn Andrews (maybe from a distance if I take my glasses off).
