Good Ikea News

Recommended Posts

No Fair (Stamping feet in tantrum) I want one in Suffok (although I very much doubt there's any chance of that  ) I really do miss IKEA. I used to live in Brum, but it's such a long drive from here to the nearest one it makes the savings kind of negligable.

We are going soon though as my mum & grandad are buying us some stuff to update our natty bathroom for Christmas. (it really is truely horrible, but we're going to hide it with large mirrors  )

Don't do it!

I got stuck on the M25 for eight hours once because they were giving away cheap sofas at the opening of a new Ikea!

I used to work 30 seconds away from both the Wembley and Bristol ones and used to go there in my lunch hour for some retail therapy!

Cinnamon - is Milton Keynes not slightly closer for you?

Make sure you take your flak jacket and tin hat and a bottle of water to avoid dehydration.

I bought my kitchen from Ikea, it's fantastic, :D:D but I had to go back 3 times due to bits being out of stock. Each time the queues were horrendous. So I went at 22:30 on a Tues night to beat the queue

I spent an hour wandering around like you do, got to the checkout and they had 15 tills open and each one had a queue of about 10-15 people. It was past midnight when I got out.:wall:

They have just spent £34 000 000 :o:shock: on updating the carpark which means even more people can get in

Ikea have some great products and a cheap restaurant, however the shopping experience is a total nightmare.:twisted:

The first time I went to IKEA ...... about 16/17 years ago.......I nearly gave up and left. But never one to fail at a challenge, I persevered and succeeded in my quest to purchase what I went for :D :D :D

Many, many, many, trips and years later and I now have IKEA and their shopping experience sorted :lol:

Yep, you have to know when to go and where everything you want will be. Take a veteran with you if you havn't been before!

We nearly never went back after our first time, as we went on a Sunday during the school holidays  bad bad move - no parking - vile. Eventually we figured out the evening on a weekday was a much better idea!
