Helly Welly
but i didn't have anyone else to tell. Oh and I went to one of those car supermarkets on Sunday and bought a Jaguar. That sounds sooo cool until i tell you that its an estate, x series. Still, OH's face still lights up when you say to him, you are going to drive a Jag. I've secretly ordered him a keyring and Jaguar tax disc holder, after all you have to accessorise. I reckon it's going to end up as the best car we've ever had. We only buy cars when the previous one has died normally, this time it's because we need the extra room an estate gives. It has a leather interior, heated seats and four cupholders Oh picks it up in Thursday evening and is under strict instructions to collect DD from school in it on Friday. Snowy
Helly that sounds gorgeous! You'll have to drive by my house and give the royal wave! An old boss of mine collected old jags - he had some gorgeous ones, years ahead of their time with the interior luxury! Enjoy!
BeckyBoo
Aaaah, but you'll soon tire of having a warm bum and being all spotless, then, if you ask me very nicely, you can borrow me old Toyota Previa. Matt dull red on the outside, co-ordinated scuffed grey plastic and glue and glitter in the inside. Biscuit crumb upholstery, dog hair carpets and enough room in the boot for three more children, a buggy, three bikes and an assortment of odd gloves and wellie boots! I'll slum it in your jag whilst you get your fix of "real car"!!(not that I'm jealous! ) but it'll be a long time before my three are old enough to be let loose anywhere NEAR a nice car! Mrs B p.s. you don't need cup holders in my car, the floor is so sticky you can just stand the cups there and they don't tip over!
redhotchick
Ooooo! That sounds lovely Helly Welly. I don't usually get excited about cars. I must have a soft spot for Jaguars.

Helly Welly
You'll have to sit in the back and it will look like OH is your chauffer! No way! I get travel sick now so sitting in the back will just make me even quicker than normal.
chickenanne
You can't be travel-sick in a Jag!!!! That sounds v exciting though, am not jealous as have an embarassing and obsessive love of my car: goes like a rocket, lovely engine noises, hugely reliable draws jealous glances from everyone.... Yes, I have a 14 year-old, 180-thousand miles-on-the clock, my first ever car (bought 11 years ago) personalised (i.e. slightly dented with some DIY, not-quite-matching spray paint covering the dings) NISSAN MICRA. Costs me a fortune in repairs now, but am too besotted to consider replacing him.
Helly Welly
OH currently drives a Rover 600, V reg, which has done 243,000 miles. It has been incredibly reliable. Unfortunately, the mileage means it's worth nothing as part exchange so we'll have to try and sell it privately. Would you buy a car that had done 243,000 miles?! Thing is, the fact that it's done that many miles means it's reliable but people just look at the figure. Lets hope the Jag is just as reliable. The Dogmother
Oooo, get you! Lovely that you have a reliable and s"Ooops, word censored!"y car - can you fit all your gubbins in the back... and a few chickens? It'll look less smart when it has Aubiose spilt in the boot and straw in the footwells like mine has

Mrs B p.s. you don't need cup holders in my car, the floor is so sticky you can just stand the cups there and they don't tip over! This sounds so much like my car.. I cleaned it out last night in the vain hope of finding a lost dog collar and a set of keys which apparently went missing in there several weeks ago, whilst waiting for DD at ballet & got very sticky hands...yuk yuk yuk! Must get the fabric cleaner out to remove the muddy dog footprints from my seat !! I washed it yesterday too so it's silver again rather then that attractive "salted-road-muck" colour which is so fashionable at the moment!! Congrats on your new toy HW! Mutrix Farmers
Hope the Jag is everything you want it to be. OH has a soft spot for Jags as he used to chauffeur his boss many years ago. He was even allowed to take me out in it!
