Well in in Preesall the weather was nice and sunny it was like spring was here then it rained this evening back to Autumn again!

A lovely day again with a slight breeze now and again - not what was expected. I gather it is supposed to be grotty tomorrow instead. I won't hold my breath!

Started off really lovely here-blue skies fluffy white clouds. However it has all clouded over and looking more grey.

Been over at the coast this morning, gardening for my parents. It was really murky with constant drizzle - got completely saturated!.

Slightly brighter at home this afternoon but still pretty grotty- very mild again though...

About 8 degrees outside but feels colder. Nice blanket of grey cloud - just waiting for the rain now.

I can hardly beleive my eyes. An hour ago it was a glorious day and I had a leisurely Sunday afternoon pottering in the garden planned.

 

All of a sudden the sky darkened and now it is blooming well snowing!

We had gales last night and lashing rain which turned to snow overnight and a blizzard this morning . Our bedroom window was completely covered with snow (not from the ground up, from the wind blowing it ).

We have had the same as ANH except the bit about the bedroom window.

 

It is freezing cold today although the sun is shining. The wind just about blew me off my feet when I was outside measuring up for my WIR.

Having said that, the sun has just come out- will probably last for about 10 minutes at most!

I woke up in the middle of the night to hear rain lashing against the window - it was extremely windy. But in spite of it this morning there was hardly any evidence. The water butt didn't show any sign of increased amount in there - OH didn't believe me. There was a little puddle on the cover of the girls bath. The brilliant sunshine and wind must have dried any surface water up elsewhere and I put the lack of water in the butt down to horizontal rain. Next door's lime tree has shed branches that landed in my driveway - he will be getting them back before I move the car because I don't want to damage my vehicle. After digging yet again, raking etc (with a short spell of sunbathing with a cuppa) I could see the rain clouds looming and I said to OH that the wind in the trees sounded like being at the beach with the waves whooshing. Still, all tools put away just in time because it is raining now.

Just had a brilliant hailstorm. It went very dark but I can see blue sky on the horizon now

Blowing a hooley all night; all calm in the morning but the garden was covered in slushy sleet at 7am.

Wind has got up again. I managed a walk up Reston Scar with the young dog and it was fun hanging in the wind with arms out. Caught a hailstorm on the way down.

It's sunny now but we have had it all today. Sun, wind, rain, sleet, hail, snow.

Planning dinner in front of the woodburner, watching Antiques Roadshow and catching up on David Attenborough.

Just ventured out for a stroll with Him Indoors (in brilliant sunshine) and had to abandon it as we found ourselves in the midst of a blizzard.

We have had the lot to-day - dry and windy, rain, sleet, snow, sunshine and now windy and wet after a huge snowstorm but its lying as water.

We had everything thrown at us yesterday- warm sun one minute- hail the next

 

There was brilliant sunshine & blue skies to start with this morning but have just had an almighty hail storm! At least the wind has finally died down!
