The Weather Thread #2

Recommended Posts

I am sitting in our study which is south facing, we have a blind over half of the window, but we leave the bottom portion open so that we don't get cat hairs all over it. The cats love sunning themselves on the window ledge and the bottom of the window is covered in cat nose smudges :vom: they will have to go I can't look at them any longer (the smudges not my lovely mogs)

Hi Everyone

Sorry we have not been able to give the weather forecast for Preesall as been in Manchester Friday / Saturday with our son Harry. Everyone is now back home safely.

He has been in a Manchester Children Hospital for some special checks all we can tell you is it rained last night over night and before 6 am. Also was cool and cloudy when we did have the chance to look out of the window in Manchester.

We got back late today in overcast conditions and a coolish wind.

How has the weather been for you wherever you live?

Best regards

Ian, Valerie and family

Had a touch of frost late last night on the car and I don't think we were supposed to get any at all - double covered the plants in the greenhouse just in case. No sign at all this morning just very dull, but it has brightened a bit and the sun has peeked through a couple of times, so now it is lighter grey outside and a bit chilly.

It has been lovely here today and we have had the back door open to enjoy the sunshine. I am not sure what the temperature has been but I have felt distinctly spring like.

However, I have just had a look at Metcheck and it is suggesting snow for Wednesday

Just heard the news.....Another foot of snow here during the overnight. The snow started this morning at 9am and hasn't stopped, it's now 2:43pm. :(

"Snow, snow, go away, come again another day". :D

At this rate Pedrick my (cube orange) will NEVER be completed!!

Hi Everyone

Here in Preesall it has been a mixed bag of weather early this morning ( 6 am) a fair amount of rain then the rest of the day sunshine but a cold wind.

Then after the hens had gone to bed it rained again. interesting :!:

How has the weather been in your worldly area today?

Best regards

It was minus 2 when I set off from Oxford this morning for Birmingham so I had to s"Ooops, word censored!"e the ice off the car. I don't know if it's connected, but I notice that when it is cold, Phillip the Cockerel doesn't crow early. I guess he must be like us - reluctant to get out of bed when it's freezing!! Maybe the answer to stop him crowing too early is to put a fridge in there!
