really warm here, have come inside to escape the hot sun for a bit

A really hard frost this morning and -2c when I got up at 6 am.

 

The sun soon melted the frost and shone until after 8pm. Nice and warm too by mid morning.

Lovely hot day, been in the garden most of it and planted up two sinks full of alpines and the last of the potatoes.

Popped out to Aldi for some bedding plants and spotted a pheasant flailing around in the middle of the road Poor chap was beyond help so I did the deed and he's now hanging in the woodstore.

Hot & sunny yesterday!

Grey blanket this morning and a bit chilly. The sun is trying to break through - but what we have here looks nothing like the picture on Sky News! Perhaps we are under a little black blob - I thought we were further over. Ho hum, it had better improve I have lots to do in the garden.

Saturday and Sunday both had cold, cloudy starts, but turned out lovely. Yesterday was superb from start to finish, got some stuff done in the garden, but there's just never enough time, is there?

clootie, I miss the Norfolk accent - the folk's house up there is now empty pending sale so none of us can go and stay there. We're hoping to pop up at the end of May though and stay with friends.

Glorious here - I have been catching a tan in the garden while sorting out the veggie beds

I love The Norfolk Coast.

I'm re-reading Ishiguro's "Never Let Me Go" which is set there and I can hear the curlews in every page.

I spent every school holiday there as a child and miss it dreadfully. The house was handy recently as it provided a free holiday for Rosie and I, just had to drive over there and provide food. I hope that it sells though.

 

Haze has lifted here and it's lovely and sunny again.

Its terrible really, but I don't have anything else to really do in the veggie beds now & am s"Ooops, word censored!"ping around looking for little jobs.

The lettuces & cabbages are out, the tom-toes are tucked up in their grow bags,.

 

*whispers* could really do with a spot of rain now....................
