How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

My youngest has long dark curly hair, so naturally she wants it to be straight the whole time

I think it looks beautiful curly,but what would I know?

 

Anyhow, our old straighteners have just gone kaput, & she has asked for a new pair for her birthday.

I would like to get her some really good ones, ones that are perfect for her hair, which is not thick,but she has masses of it.

 

Any suggestions?

My friend is a hairdresser and GHD are the ones they use and recommend. I bought some for my daughter a couple of years ago. They are expensive though. I bought some cheaper ones for myself but I don't think they work nearly as well.

I got some BaByliss 2088U Pro 230 Elegance Bronze Straightener's about a year ago. I chose them because they had good reviews and i didn't want to spend loads. I have had my hair straightened with GHDs before and IMO mine are very similar. My hair is mid length, has kinks, is very thick and goes frizzy. So I don't like going out if I have washed and straightened my hair as it still looks frizzy(this happened with the GHDs too). I love waking up when i have straightened my hair the night before so my hair feels really light and doesn't go frizzy

 

Mine came with a 5 year guarantee which i thought was also really good. The only problem that i have found is that you can curl with them. I had my hair curled with GHDs when i was a bridesmaid and i would have liked to be able to do it with my own straighteners.

 

And they come in a lovely bronze colour with a nice bag to keep them in(which my cousin thought was the bag i was taking out in the evening!)

GHD's in our house too.

I balked at the price of them and tried 2 other makes of cheaper ceramic straightners first both were around the £30-£40 price mark and both were useless! So I gave in and paid £110 for a pair of GHD's, they are brilliant I've had them for about 2 years now and they still work perfectly.

However, I can't stress enough that good straighten jollop is ESSENTIAL!!!!! Both for a good look and to protect the hair.....

 

I bought mine about 4yrs ago and they are still going strong from ebay!

My hairdresser swears by GHDs Sarah - he has a christmas gift box that he was trying to tempt me with - purple swirly irons, matching travel hair dryer and travel bag all for £120 I think. I can ask about it if you're interested.

GHD`s in my house too!!

 

They were more expensive than other makes but they are BRILLIANT!

 

If too costly for birthday pressie couldn`t you combine it with another event.....mmmmmm Christmas is a little far away...........maybe not

 

Also they have a cut out so if you forget to turn them off ( ) they turn themselves off!!!!!

GHD's are great but make sure you use heat protectant with them. OH is a hairdresser and has told me off numerous times about not using it!

I used GHDs too (until I had most of my hair cut off ). They worked really well on my bushy, wavy hair (but I agree it looked better the next day when the static had settled!).

 

In fact, they are languishing in a drawer upstairs and it's unlikely I'll be using them again. I couldn't face having long hair ever again .

 

I know they aren't any good as a birthday present but if you'd like to try them out PM me. I'd be pleased they were going to a good home!

My mum went Sallys the wholesalers for hairdressers & bought my sister some FH1's. As good as GHD's - should have been £100, in the sale at £60. They are fabulous!

I will however, when saved up - buy myself some wide GHD's for my long hair.

Cleos hair is long, no thick but masses of it, & ringletty when left to dry on its own.

 

Also, have any of you bought them from this place?

Hi - the GHD's my hairdressers uses on my hair are about 2 inches wide at the plate end. She says they are better for long hair & the narrow ones better for ' flicky' styles & shorter hair. But that's just her opinion. That looks a fab deal!

I have long thick curly hair....which is currently nice and straight thanks to GHD wide straighteners...

 

they really are the best and I've tried a few....these are my fourth brand I think, and I would only buy these again....

 

You cant go wrong...I've had mine for well over 3 years now....and they are great...

 

not sure how old your daughter is?? but my main concern is burning herself...burning furniture and of course hair....

 

so I'm careful, I place them on a book whilst they are hot, and make sure I use treseme thermal heat protector....which is pretty good and smells nice

She is 14 Cordelia, & has been using straighteners for a good few years now.

The ones I am looking at come with a free heat mat & I also picked up a heat resistant bag for them in Boots today
