Lush!

Recommended Posts

Hi there, in one of my many rants I mentioned that I couldn't get hold of Body Shop Henna any more and a few of you very kindly re-directed me to Lush (who I had never heard of  ) So I treated myself to a block of caca rouge and a block of caca brun (because the caca rouge says it is VERY bright red  ) so I chickened out and mixed two blocks of the brun with three of the rouge and am currently sitting here with green mud piled on top of my head! I'm going to leave it on for an hour or two, those of you that have met me or seen any pictures know that I have LOTS of hair and I like it RED!! So, we shall see!! :D

Very grateful for the recommendation though, can feel a whole birthday list coming on....

Lush is one of my favourite shops, the other being the sister shop Be Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful (sells make up but with the same ethics as Lush and owned by the same guy who owns Lush) If you are ever at Covent Garden a visit is a must ( the shops are just a few doors apart).

I haven't tried the henna stuff but the shampoo etc is fab.

Well, it's off! Have to say, at the minute it's not looking particularly inspiring, think I might have erred too much on the side of caution, next time will have JUST the caca rouge. However, hair wasn't all gritty like it used to be with Body Shop, it smells fab and hair feels lovely. Mind you can't always tell til it's dry as my hair always looks dark!

I shall let you all know in the morning

Well I'm going to grit my teeth and post the most AWFUL picture of me. It's awful DESPITE the fact that for most of the day I was havign a good hair day, but my 6 year old, whose help I enlisted to take said photograph, and who could almost certainly hack into NASA's computer system such is her knowledge and expertise in all things computer and techno, suddenly became completely inept and unable to work a point and push the button camera!:doh: And so I had to drag my TONNES of hair forward and hold the camera at arms length in order to show you just how belisha like it had become! It looked really good seen at a proper viewing (about half a mile with sunglasses!!) I'm glad I didn't use just the rouge now, although I feel brave and probably will do next time!

Here goes (don't laugh! )

WOW! That is RED! Fabulous. I used to henna my hair (Body Shop one) and it was very red/burgundy especially in the sunshine. But I am quite tempted with the Lush one now after you saying your hair looked shiny. Possibly not quite that colour. Do you know what other colours they do?

OOoh Becky, that looks fabulous. I'm very impressed, and it does look shiny too, I know what you mean about curly hair not looking shiny as much as straight, I have similar hair to yours and have the same problem. Loving the red!!

Me too - I am a curly top as well, & the only way I have found to get my hair looking a bit shiny is by having hi lights.

Nice red - wish I was that brave!:lol::lol:
