The Dogmother
It's one of my favourite gadgets, along with my Kenwood and my electric blanket. I love my leccie blanket - who needs a man eh? It keep you warm, doesn't snore or hog the duvet and doesn't care what you look like first thing in the morning
Budgies
Louise, I'm totally with Ginette and Claret! They were amongst the wonderful people who suggested I buy that model, and I've never regretted it for an instant. OH bought a sandwich from a supermarket the other day and said he couldn't finish it because the bread was like polystyrene!! Sue

chickencam
I bought a Morphy Richards fast bake with a folding paddle in July. I went out to buy a Panasonic but was tempted by an Argos offer on this one, I was worried that it might be a gimick but I have had several breadmakers over the last 5 years and this is by far the best. I use it everyday, it still has a hole in the bottom but it is only goes in about 1.5cm which is much better than my previous ones. Loads of people moan about the shape of a breadmaker loaf but I thibk because they have a domed top they try to slice them downwards whereas if you turn it on its side you have a perfectly square sandwich loaf. The Dogmother
Mine just looks like a normal loaf.
Louise
That is the one I have Liz the reason I got it was Sainsburys vouchers I had loads of points and have wanted one for a while and with my points I could get it for £2.49 and as I normally shove gadgets to the back of the cupboard I didn't want to invest The trouble is the loaves are more airly towards the domed end and it can be too crumbly to cut on its side The paddle in mine rarely folds flat anyway I will look at the panasonic one I think but I need to raid the coin jar to buy it I think
The Dogmother
I had to do a raid too Louise, but it was worth it.
Chocobo
My dad brought me one from a car boot sale, almost brand new for 7.50 and it works really well
FORENSICA
I had my breadmaker (Panasonic) for maybe 3 months now. It is fabulous! I think that the bread is much better then from the shop, know exactly what is in it and I dare to say that it is probably cheaper too. We also have at least a one pizza a week since the dough from it is brilliant(make it 50:50 with wholegrain flour for healthier). Slow cooker - have no experience But I love rice cookers! My broke recently and I really want one of those clever Japanese ones now
Cinnamon
I have a real problem with my older model Panasonic Bread maker,I am afraid. Whenever I make a loaf, they all just EAT IT right away, rather than treating it as a normal loaf for sandwiches etc...........I am having to make them much more often The bread is delicious & it makes the house smell like a proper home
Lesley
hhmmmm - that is a serious problem Sarah - do you think it is just the Panasonic ones?

Charlottechicken
The instructions for mine say that as soon as the loaf is cool enough to cut you should take a generous crust off one end and spread thickly with butter, then eat it I follow this rule with every loaf
