[Rhapsody]

I've got tears pouring down my face, Edgie died this morning, she just went downhill in the space of a day and died before I could get her to a vet. She was in her favourite place, in the house in the catbox on the conservatory floor.

I'm going to miss her so much, she was the bald rescue hen that nearly died twice, the one I made a jumper for, the one who lived in the house for 2 weeks because she was so poorly. She always followed me around the garden and would sit on my knee and go to sleep. She had a year with me and her friends, free-ranging every day.

I am so sorry to hear about Edgie. Hubby and I followed her story last year and were really rooting for her. Hubby will be gutted when I tell him.

I'm really sorry to hear she's gone, Rhapsody . Edge was a complete sweetie and stole our hearts when you first posted photos of her. It's hard to lose one who has made such an impression. It's the big personalities which leave such a big hole when they go.

I am so sorry to hear that Rhapsody - she was the bravest hen and I admired her fighting spirit; she was an inspiration to us all.

 

After a dodgy start, you did well to keep her that long; she had the most wonderful days of freedom though. I used her photos on my blog to illustrate one of my rants about battery farming.
