Long Hot Summer

Recommended Posts

Absolutely :!::!:

It's gonna be a good year.

The Oak trees are in leaf whereas the Ash hasn't moved.

Oak before Ash, in for a splash

Ash before Oak, in for a soak.

I like that saying :D8)

Lucky I set up my watering system for the veggie garden yesterday then :D:D

Sorry, another one here who'd prefer it not too hot! I can't cope with high temperatures, and travelling on the Tube every day will be really miserable if it's 30 degrees.

I'd like it a bit drier than '07 and a bit sunnier than '08 ... not fussy, am I!

Thank goodness for that Olly - I was beginning to feel really lonely

I've got a new Convertible Smart Car coming tomorrow, so I am hoping for good weather to have the top down.

However, all my friends and family have told me that if its a bad summer they are blaming me!

We have one of the Roadster convertibles, as long as it's dry we sometimes have the roof down for no good reason  !

We've also got a very old (one of the first in the UK!) Fourtwo, before they were known as that! It was DH's first mid-life crisis, the Roadster was his second.....

I have the sensible family sized Grand Espace tank - I do use one of the Smarts though when it's only me or I only have 1 child with me, as DH can't drive them both at the same time!!

Have fun, they are wonderful cars to drive....once you get used to feeling very very very small!!!! And it's amazing how much you can fit into one :o !

Hi Sha,

Its my second fourtwo. I have a standard passion at the moment, but when I saw they were bringing out the new turbo diesel cabrio, I couldn't resist! I have managed to fit loads in my boot, bales of auboise, flat screen tv's, loads of stuff.

We also have the sensible (boring!) Astra aswell, but we fight over the smart! But its mine so I usually win

We thought we had air-con in a previous Espace until we had it re-gassed (or whatever it has done to it  !) The day after it was done we took the car out on a long run & when we got to our destination, the keys in the ignition, which was obviously directly in line of one of the fans, were so cold we nearly froze to them!!!

Those were the days of summers hot enough to need the air-con on  !!

Our Espace is Turbo (newly replaced  ) diesel - got to have a turbo to get the blasted thing moving it's so big & heavy!!!!

We have been desperately watching the oak and ash trees here - the last two years the ash has been in leaf first - last week, the oak burst in to life and all the ash trees are still dormant

As long as it's drier than the last two years....and not too hot....
