Blackrocksrock
I got mine yesterday but thought on the news they were calling in influenza A something and not swine flu which is on the leaflet! Not reading it anyway for the present - will keep washing my hands as always.
Tessa the Duchess
Total waste of public money You would have to live in a cave not to be aware of what is going on and the measures you should take to try and prevent it spreading. Daft if you ask me. Tessa
chickencam
I agree, the government just want to be seen to be doing something
Lewis
We haven't had one through the post yet, but I got it via email last week - I thought it was a better idea, obviously not everyone has email access though.

Guest
Ridiculous waste of public money. Also a waste of paper and machinery to print so bad for the environment. You would have to live in a cave not to know about this. This leaflet wont make one bit of difference. I dared to suggest to a child today that LICKING a window was a very bad idea when there were all these germs around, swine flu etc and he just laughed. Funny thing was I saw ANOTHER child with his face pressed up against the same window not half an hour later. It isn't even an exciting window - its between my classroom and the corridor! Valkyrie
No leaflets here yet. And now I have the sniffles - I think hayfever - and DD has been really rude!

Charlottechicken
Haven't had the leaflet yet, but I have to look at it every day at work on the home page of the intranet. To be honest, it will not make a s"Ooops, word censored!" of difference to those who never cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze (or spit in the street, which I thought was a fineable offence ). craftyhunnypie
Ours came today - absolute garbage! Hubby still reckons it's a hyped up thing to keep us quiet about the budget, credit crunch, recession thing. I didn't see the point of it having to be printed in colour either. Will make a good read for the chooks in their poo tray I suppose! Emma.x
TAJ
Still no leaflet here, but this is even funnier. I had to take DD to the doctors Wednesday - one little sign mentioning Swine Flu , then the next morning I took an elderly relative to a different doctors - great big red signs on the door - 'do not enter this building if you have flu like symptoms and have visited an affected country'. Once you then got into reception you had to wash your hands (like in hospitals) to enter the waiting room. The waiting room only had chairs in it - with a notice saying reading material and kids toys had been removed due to swine flu precautions. How can two GP surgeries in the same town act so differently? Tracy
kitchens
My incling is that the government's reaction to swine flu is a dry run for the H5N1 (or similar/worse version of bird flu). I reckon that they government wanted to see how quickly/effectively drugs could be given out - and how long it would take to print/deliver these leaflets. Just a thought ......
