Ain't Nobody Here

The saddest news story

Recommended Posts

gosh, hard to understand why they'd leave their little girl but who knows what you'd do in a similar situation, maybe they thought it was safe, maybe he jumped in first then got into trouble and she jumped in to help, maybe they didn't think at all and just reacted!?

A very sad story, hope they have family to look after the little one :(

I heard this on the news today :( so sad :( He jumped in (he was a strong swimmer) and got into trouble so she jumped in - even though she was frightened of the water and not a strong swimmer.

The news reporter was interviewing relatives at the scene and said something stupid about how it was clear they were all heartbroken - well of course they were. They did well to get through the interview.

So very tragic. :(

It is really sad :( .

I cant understand why you'd try and save your dog whilst leaving your baby :? .

Me neither Scrambled.

Its totally beyond me,I am afraid.

I put my children before anything, & always would :?

I would only assume that one of the couple jumped in first, got in trouble & the other went in after them, maybe?

A tragedy, especially for the orphaned child

Same here.

I must admit I find it hard to understand their rationale, but I suppose in the heat of the moment......

A tragedy nevertheless. Poor child.

I really wish they hadn't used the word 'abandoned' in the headline. It make it sound as if they had neglected their child in some way which was obviously not the case. How horribly sad.

I thought that was unecessary too :(

In the heat of the moment I think most people would act in a similar way and if my OH needed help I would try to help. To say that they 'abandonded' their child is so unkind. The thinking time in a situation like that is so short who knows how any of us would react.

A really tragic event :(

This is so sad, I heard it yesterday morning on the radio quite early and then on the 9pm news.

Who knows what you would do, I thought they said the woman had jumped in to help the dogs and the she got in trouble and the man jumped in to save her. She died later in hospital but the man died at the scene.

My dog means everything to me and with adrenalin pumping I can relate to wanting to jump in although I know I'm a useless swimmer so that would hold me back, I wouldn't want to be put in that position.

That poor child, none of it bears thinking about, Awful.
