I'm losing my marbles!

Recommended Posts

I was in the middle of 19 things at once, the toast was burning, lunch was ready to be served up, so I threw the washing detergent in with the bedlinen an hour ago and set the machine going while I then ran off to retrieve said burnt toast. It has almost finished (6 minutes to go)... or it would have done if I had put the bed linen in the machine. So I have a pile of bed linen on the floor waiting to be washed and an empty washing machine just finishing the spin cycle.

I think I must be going senile :oops: . Or maybe the chicken pox affected my brain! That is my excuse and I am sticking to it

I once managed to leave my washing all over the floor and put my mobile phone in the machine. :wink: whats worse is the reason i had it in my hand was i'd just pulled it out of my trousers thinking i really musn't let that go through again..... :wink:

You sound just like me. If I have one minuite left I will fill it with something that takes two. Then I wonder why I forget everything. I am getting really bad at remebering stuff.

The kids go 'Mum, do you remember such-and-such' and I have to take their word for it as I honestly cant. :oops:

It certainly does get worse with age...my marbles are long gone....today with our clunky second car (not clever pressy key fob thing remote locking) I turned out my entire handbag in an increasingly blind panic thinking I'd lost the car keys and that I would have to retrace my entire shopping trip around town in an effort to find them....until the penny dropped that I had already opened the boot to put the shopping in and the keys were still in the lock in the open boot....just a few inches above my head..... :doh:

What about this ...

Whilst painting the log rolls with cuprinol (other products are available, blah, blah, blah ...) the other day to make my wee eglu enclosure I manage to dip my brush into my tea, not just the once - twice!

OH was ROFL - not amused, I quickly reminded him of the time whilst sat in the bath that he put shaving foam on his head instead of shampoo!!

We are both still in our 30's - roll on old age!

:lol::lol::lol:

I phoned my mum a few years ago (you has gone now) and she took a while to answer and was laughing. She said "don't tell your brother" (he lived with her) "but i've just found the phone in the fridge"! She wqas making tae whilst on the phone and must have put the phone away with the milk!

I find myself doing equally daft things!
