Not tomorrow, but I think it would  I'd still go to school, still want to be a vet and be the same person (well, I say that now ). It won't happen because I haven't bought a ticket  but if I did win I'd keep it to myself for a few weeks so people don't go mad and want to be friends now that you have money.

I wouldn't go mad + buy cars and things like that, but I'd probably have a farm 8) and many an eglu + cube.

If you won the lottery would you tell everyone straight away, or wait a while?

I'd have to give some away, the hard thing is, to who?

I'd probably buy the parentals a house, some to an animal charity and go on holiday or have a party with my friends so they all benefit and I don't have to choose who gets what! The family would have to have some aswell.

A friend of a friend won recently, has bought a new car but is still living in his little terrace house and still going to work and trying not to change him too much, just living more comfortably. He said thanks and told everyone by having all the drinks on him at the pub on a particular night, that way he was with his friends who were with him all the time and not other people after money, if that makes sense.

He was also advised to keep the money with Camelot for as long as he could, because they have such a high interest rate 8).

Do you have a lucky number?

I've only ever placed one bet  It was on the Grand National a fair few years ago and I didn't win :( In fact, I did joke to my OH at the time that I should ask if they would give me odds that my horse would die but he refused to let me......and guess what  my horse was the only one that died. :? I did feel guilty about it though, as if I'd wished it to happen :(

I don't really understand betting. My grandad always bet on the dogs.

What in life really frightens you?

Being struck by lightening. I wonder if the odds are better than the lottery? The other is being underground - I don't like it and feel uncomfortable. Maybe I was a miner in a previous life. With regard to lightning I have had one near miss with mum and my brother (he was in a pushchair). I don't think he was ever pushed so fast as we legged it. Probably first intro to a roller coaster. The other time would have been when I used to push and let go, then catch the handle repeatedly. Once I did that on a hill and I couldn't catch it again in time - he went careering to the bottom into a load of stinging nettles. Mum was not happy to say the least. He remembers it to this day - he thought it was good until the end bit.

What was the worst thing you have done to a sibling?

Probably breaking my right leg :D

My neighbour was playing with me and forgot to catch me (I was little, not now!) and I hit my leg off the radiator ... off to hospital. It's obviously fine now, apart from ... I can touch my left foot to my nose but not my right foot 8) - and it comes up more than you'd expect!

I like this question :) ... same one again.

I was afraid of being out of my depth when swimming, so I jumped in the 6ft deep area of the pool backwards. Clunked my chin on the side as I went down and had to have 2 stitches in my chin. Had I been a bit closer I was told I could have broken my neck. That didn't bother me at all, but the thought that my mum would be worried sick when told I was at the hospital upset me because I didn't want her upset. But in the car I saw the little bit of meat hanging down - that was rather 8) !

Same question again because my answer is really tame!

Nearly 7 years ago I dislocated my knee joint - I'd had surgery 30 years previously to remove a damaged knee-cap but this was the joint - ouch! The most painful thing I have ever endured.....and I've had two children!

I spent months in a wheelchair and had to learn to walk again. It will never be right and surgery would not be able to help, I struggle with stairs and can't either kneel or squat down......but there are worse things that could have happened!

and again..........

(yes, I struggle to find questions! )

My worst injury is quite minor. I cut my "girly bits" when I was about 5. I was climbing over a barbed wire fence and slipped. Those were the days when children were allowed to wander off into the fields to play by themselves. I wouldn't let my children have that freedom although part of me would like them to have it.

What freedom did you have as a child that you wish your children could have or if you don't have children what freedom did your parents have that you wish you had had?

During the holidays while staying at nannas I used to go out in the mornings and play on the haystacks in the farmers field (with his permission), go down to the river & play pooh sticks and generally be a free spirit. I wish my daughter could do the same but i fear it wont be possible :(

Whats the naughtiest thing you've done as a child?

This was really naughty, but I think justified. I was 12, my sister is 5 years younger than me so was 7. A lad in my school, my age, pushed my sister off her bike. She cut her arms all down one side, and really hurt her knees. So the following day in school, I cornered him in the foyer outside the art room, and kicked hell out of him. He was about twice my size  He ended up having to go to hospital, I didn't have a scratch on me. I was a perfectly behaved student (even became deputy head girl) so the headmaster called me into his office to ask me why I would do such a thing, that was so out of character. I told him why, and he told me "well done". This lad was a bit of a trouble maker but he, nor any of his friends ever messed with me, my friends or my sister ever again. Ironically, years later this lad said he developed the biggest crush on me after I beat him up as no-one ever stood up to him

The only time I ever get really angry is if anyone messes with anyone I love, the rest of the time I am a very gentle person. I don't condone violence at all, but I lost the plot with this guy (its happened once since when I was in my 20's and a drug addict had a go at my mum, it took 3 men to hold me back).

Have you ever acted completely out of character?

I rarely get really furious and when I do I either blow a gasket  or end up in absolute floods of tears  I'm normally quite 'together' especially at work but a few years ago I was called into see my big boss who spent about an hour trying to get me to alter a staff report I had written. She didn't like the member of staff and thought his report was too kind :x I got to the point where I couldn't open my mouth through fear of flying off the handle. In the end I made an excuse, dashed out and spent the next half an hour sobbing in the toilets. Very out of character! At least I didn't say what was going through my head...she was such a bully.

OH collects militaria and bought some medals in an auction recently. On the back was a note from the son of the soldier about his father and we found contact details on some paperwork. OH gave him a call (he's now in his 80s) and he was so pleased to hear from him and what had happened to the medals. :D He had sold them as he has no family to pass them to but had been worrying about them ever since. They are now in regular contact and OH is giving him information about what his father would have done during the war as he served with OH's great great uncle 8)

What was the last good deed you did? (or what was the last good deed someone did for you?)

I certainly help people when it's apparent it's needed and wanted, but I also try to avoid "doing good". If we're just talking about an innocent offer of assistance, my most recent was probably an hour or so ago when a colleague at work ran into a problem I was able to solve. If it's the latter definition, though, my last was a few months ago when (my only exception to waiting for an offer to be accepted) I was called on as a first aider.

It's difficult, though, isn't it; differentiating between normal and instinctive give and take versus something significant (and then overcoming one's natural hesitance about publicising it).

How are you with foreign languages?
