tom123
sorry Omlet ... Me and my grandad have just bought some netting for our gardens (he keeps chickens aswell). We didn't want to part with £68 for only 25 metres as we needed roughly 40 So we found a company called Knowle Nets, They supply all types of netting including poultry netting suitable for bantams and hens. Omlet Netting 25 metres, 13 poles - £68 Suitable for hens, NOT suitable for bantams (They state it is however my pekin hen squeezes through the bottom hole.) Knowle nets 25 metres, NO poles - £15 The netting has 1" 1/2 holes all over. Even though it doesn't come with poles you can buy a couple of spare packs from omlet and it will still be cheaper! Omlet netting 50m - £118 Knowle Nets 50m - £30 It is black and blends in fantastically... (sorry about the rubbish quality pics, stupid phone ) The website is...http://www.knowlenets.co.uk/pest_game/poultry_netting.htm Good Luck Tom
Scramble
that's really good, in the first picture I was 'where's the netting?' Seems useful, pity I don't need netting
Sky
Looks good but I am guessing that this can't be electrified which makes a bid of difference as the Omlet netting has all the electric wires going through it and we do use ours with an energiser. This would of course up the price. Egg Lou
Thanks for the great tip Tom! This might be perfect for my needs!
Egg Lou
Hi Tom.. stupid question but did you get the chick/bantam version and what width did you order? Ta
mostin
That looks really good Tom. I don't need my fencing electrified but I could do with some more lengths of netting. I think this may be going on my christmas list .
Ain't Nobody Here
That looks really good . Even less obtrusive than Omlet netting .
Griffin
Thanks for that, I've bookmarked it. I think I'll get some of the bantam netting because two of my big chicks have turned out to be bantam sized and the little horrors (well just one naughty girl in particular) can squeeze through the Omlet netting. We have 25m of Omlet netting but could do with more to create little outdoorsy pens for some of the growers.

This is gonna cost me £25.! Cheers (and omlet, sorry )
emmamakeup
That's fab - I'm looking for netting for my garden to keep the girls in a specific area. How fab - you're a star!!!
tom123
Please dont buy the bantam size, they rip you off! I ordered the 1 1/2 " which is still smaller than omlet and even the pekin chicks can't squeeze through plus its nearly three times as expensive! I bought 10 metres x 1.2 metres however the omlet poles are only about 1m high so have pegged the extra down on the floor. Thanks Tom

LesleyH
thanks so much for taking the time to post this. our omlet netting has just started snapping with age and we are very skint - and stressing about it. We have been mending the holes with string and worrying about the cost of replacement. the poles are fine though and this has solved it for a tenner including postage! a huge thanks to you
Jennyhenny
Am I doing this right, just been on the website. I need 9 metres x I assume 1.2 will be ok- It came out at £5.40 surely I got this wrong Seems far to cheap Jennyhenny
LesleyH
you are correct - but bear in mind you also need poles of some sort - omlet or otherwise - but its a great bargain
bluekarin
that is excellent Tom. Thank you for posting the link. I have been after some non expensive netting as a temporary measure and this fits that bill. When I was looking at your pics I thought they were going to be the before and after netting Really good stuff.
Jennyhenny
This is a fantastic bargain. At the moment I have volley ball netting which the girls can squeeze through so have had to put fruit netting over that - looks a right mess. These are held up by bamboo canes, with the net cable tied on - not easy to move and looks an eye sore If I order some Omlet poles will I be able to attach it easily Jennyhenny Well done Tom great link
TAJ
Where's the best place to get poles from? Flytesofancy - they do packs of 10 poles that work our cheaper per pole than the extra poles via Omlet, plus they do some corner poles - these have three spikes (above ground looks the same) so keep tension on corners better.
