...is dying. Its closing down entirely in the UK.

I've always thought it was a bit weird, selling coffee, cake, pen sets, lingerie, ski wear, computer peripherals and hole-punching kits in one neat little Germanic package.

And I was rather pleased to get a portable weather station (like the Lidl one that was on the go a while back, but smaller) for £7, a dozen packs of coffee for six quid, and 75cl of coffee flavouring syrup for £3. Bargains.

There's 20% off everything left. So some odd lingerie and ski wear, mainly.

But they do give you a free cup of coffee with every purchase.

Auf weidersehn, weird shop with lovely friendly staff!

Today it is low pressure and 62% humidity and about 20 degrees.

HOW GREAT IS THAT?! OH doesn't understand why I love my new weather gadget. He says I should poke my head outside. I say the barometric readings are useful to see if they match my headaches.

High pressure=headaches/migraines for me (along with my family - see other thread), and now I have proof! On a string! Which I can hang round my neck!

I loved it and went in every Friday with a few friends to an Outlet one - a bit of a ritual. We used to challenge our friend who was a compulsive shopper to come out with nothing and she couldn't. It was a wierd shop but over 3 years I bought:

a cuddly polar bear

a microwave/grill/oven

various 3 packs of toddler t shirts which was fantastic, I also bought some for a friends child

a plug in energy monitor

a peg bag and matching flower pegs - much admired by visitors

4 egg cups

toaster

magnetic drawing board

probably loads more things I've forgotten about

Another friend went in with us once and came out with a tan leather jacket and my husband got a 3 pack of boxer shorts from his mother last Christmas.

Our Tchibo closed months ago. We miss it. I just hope the one in Salzburg Austria carries on & I also like the Eduscho cafes/shops over there too (very similar to Tchibo).

We had our chicken cctv thingy from Tchibo. A great gadget! I got my mum a ring from the one in Salzburg. I've also had a brilliant ski jacket from there & various items of clothing. We adored their jars of gold coffee too.

Oh..EXTREME weathery thing, A chicky-chicky-chick-ENN.....my weather lady popped out of her little house and said it would be fine today. :D I think our Tchibo in Bognor closed down some time ago - probably when the Costa opened (Bognor must be on the up then, to have a Costa  Can't say I'd noticed ) but like many others on here...I used to love going in there..just because it sold such weird and wonderful things....knickers, power tools, calculators, fleece turbans and coffee and cake.. what a great selection
