sparkysmum
................and I'm feeling sick with anxiety for her. Daisy is our Yorkie (and our 5th child ) She is so tiny my husband calls her our "doglet" She is only 10mths old but the right age to be spayed. Her first season was horrible & Sparky our collie wouldn't leave her alone even although he was neutered many moons ago I found it all so distasteful. I know that there are more reasons to neuter her. I just wish I didn't have to do it. Wish it was all over. Ax

Sunshine
We had our 5 1/2 month old doggie Lola spayed last week. Against some people's opinions we got her done before her 1st season, we couldn't risk her getting pregnant from the roaming sheepdog at the farm next door! The op went fine but it was really strange seeing her the afternoon she had it done because she was like a different dog. She just slept the whole evening and had a "what have you done to me" look on her face However the next day she was fine and wagging her tail again like usual. She is still on her lead for all her walks until her stiches come out on Friday. Positive vibes from me too, i'm sure she will be fine and just bounce back. Snowy
Aaah bless her, I'm sure she will be fine. It's probably worse for you! I need to arrange for Candy to be done but I'm dreading it!
Ziggy
Sending good vibes for Daisy... I've never had a dog neutered, but have had all the cats done, and the bunnies, and each time it's a tough day, waiting by the phone for the vet's call, and just feeling really anxious... I hope all goes well and she has a quick recovery
sparkysmum
Thanks so much for your good wishes everyone. She's in & I'm waiting...............The children are off school today (an in service day) and we won't be doin' anything & goin' anywhere, just waiting for the vet's call. It's so much easier when it's a boy

Lesley
It's so diificult isn't it? - even when you know it is the right decision. I hope she's soon back home with you all. She'll be bouncing around all too soon
sparkysmum
Thank you all for your kind wishes - she's home It's been a long day but she was in good hands. In all she was spayed, microchipped & had her retained baby teeth removed. So she's sore all over, poor wee thing. The bill came to £331. 06, which although it is a lot of money was much cheaper than having each element done individually. Can't wait to have her bouncing around again. Cooks
Oh bless her I have only just seen this I wish her and you well with the recovery. I have a year old yorkie who is being spayed on the 20th November after a lot of failed starts (phantom pregnancies and coming into season) so all's well now for the 20th but I will be a mess on the day. sparkysmum
Hi folks, she's fine She's quite waggy today and is even eating (unusual for her)I think she'd like to go out for a walk but she is having to make do with the garden I had to go out for a couple of hours this afternoon & rather than have her in a lampshade collar I wrapped her tummy in a crepe bandage - what a sight Thanks for all your good wishes. Cookie monster - good luck when its your wee one's turn Ax
Lewis
Glad she's feeling better - I've never experienced it from the owners point (because you don't tend to neuter tortoises and chickens ) but have from the vets, on work experience, and I think it makes it a bit easier in some was because you know exactly whats happening and what to expect Good luck CM
Seagazer
I've just seen this, I'm glad she is okay and that the op went well. They do tend to just get on with it all afterwards
