Guest
I saw other products containing eggs in there that made no mention of free range too - commented on it to Mum.
Olly
They're honest about it. Have any of you raised it with them? They are always keen to hear customer feedback, and they do act on it.
Guest
Sounds fowl, once its opened cant imagine storing it for future use pasteurised or not. Would rather use a wholesome fresh egg in the good old fashioned way ...now where are those pies indie
Goosey Lucy
I've contacted Lakeland by e-mail expressing my disappointment. I have also included a link to this topic.
Helly Welly
I added a bad product review to the Lakeland site, if enough people do this or email them then hopefully they'll get the message. After all, it worked with Hellmans.
mostin
I think it's really good that they are honest about it, that's why I buy from them, but I am disappointed that they are selling it in the first place
Snowy
The link doesn't work, is it just me or have they now pulled the product?

kitbag
The link doesn't work, is it just me or have they now pulled the product? We got a delivery of it on Sunday! I have to say though, if you write or email HQ, it won't go ignored! We listen to every customer!
Blackrocksrock
I sent an e-mail to them and have had one back to say they have pulled the product pending their enquiries etc etc which I am happy about. letter I have had back below Dear Mrs **** Thank you for your email about the Egg Glaze Spray. We were assured by our suppliers before we began stocking this product that it supported our ethos for any animal based products we include in our product range. Since receiving your enquiry we’ve started further investigations into this product. Once we’ve carried out our investigation we’d then like to come back to you with our findings, but until then this product has been removed from sale with immediate effect. Thank you for your email suggesting we open a Lakeland store in Elgin. I'm delighted to hear that this is something you'd like to see, because we are planning to expand in the future. We want to manage our growth and expand at a steady pace to make sure we can give each new store the time and resource it needs to be a success. We are continuing to look for potential new store locations, so your suggestion is very welcome.
The Dogmother
I have a lot of respect for companies like that, who pay attention to what their customers are saying and act on it. They can't afford a bad reputation, or for dissatisfaction to be spread around. One of the first laws of customer service is that a happy customer will tell a few of their friends, while an unhappy one will tell everyone they know and meet. This is amplified nowadays by modern technology.
Goosey Lucy
You got a much better response than me Blacksrockrock, I had the standard 'we are sorry this product disappointed you' e-mail. Am still waiting to hear their response to my reply. But it's good to know it's been withdrawn in the meantime.
Blackrocksrock
I said in my letter that in this day and age of back yard chickens and chicken out and all the press involved with battery chickens I was very surprised to see such a company stocking a product like this one. I am glad they responded and hope they pull the product after their investigations as whoever was the buyer of this should be shot! I do so hope they open a shop in elgin as we have loads of empty new units just waiting for such a company and I am sure they would be swamped out with people here. Janepie33
Well they obviously pulled the product before I had a chance to see it on the link. Just out of interest, what was it ??!!
Lewis
Well good on them for listening The Omlet effect strikes again! It was, from what I gathered, an egg glaze to use on pastries to make them shiny (not very good description is it)
